The Perfect Basket: How to Make a Fabulous Gift Basket for Any Occasion

Maybe I didn't read the editorial comments correctly before I ordered this book, but it is not what I wanted.I was looking for information about starting a gift basket *business*. This book does not cover that topic.It is a very nice book about making baskets as gifts for friends, neighbors, teachers, service people, etc.There are some full-color pictures, though not of every basket idea. The resource list is strictly retail. Recipes are included for basket items, a no-no when you're selling baskets unless you have a licensed commercial kitchen.So, while the book might jump-start your brain for basket ideas as gifts, it is not a business book.My problem, not the book's.

I make a large number of baskets for a charity event (69 this year) and already have the main items that go into the basket. What I was looking for was new ways to dress the basket up. This book focuses more on what to put into the basket, e.g. what should you put into a basket for a sick friend, grandma, etc. If that's all you're looking for, this book would be very helpful.

I never really used this book, but it shows you how to give a gift basket for any occasion. What I really like and have used over the years is her "The Perfect Mix" book. I can't tell you how many times I have made her beer cheese bread and given it as a gift. This is a great resource for making something and including a recipe for each mix that you give.

This is one of many books that I ordered at the same time and it really has wonderful information on creating baskets and really helped me think outside the box when it comes to creating gits for future clients. Really enjoy!!

Great ideas for a variety of gift baskets at multiple price levels. Love the many themes they offer.

I am fortunate to be able to take cooking classes from Diane so know the quality of everything she does. The book has great ideas for those difficult-to-buy-for people.

I really like this book, with all the wonderful ideas for gift baskets. Even thought her basket ideas are adorable, I actually like the mix recipes best. She has an older book, The Perfect Mix, that is also a keeper, with great recipes for easy gifts.

When I first received the book, I flipped thru the pages and it showed a lot of different ideas for different occasions. Great for gift ideas. A must have.....

Gave me a few ideas for baskets for upcoming birthdays etc. Not brilliant, but inspired me to think up other ideas to fill them and I did three for special guests at my recent wedding as presents for them.
