Works great!
I love this thing! I use it to take cereal to work. I have not had any problems with the milk leaking. Sometimes the milk gets slightly frozen, so I've started taking the container out of the freezer about 30 minutes before I leave for work and it stays cold but doesn't freeze the milk. The cereal compartment is a little bit small, but it's a good portion if you are trying to eat healthy. It holds about 1 cup of Cheerios, which seems small but it's the serving size on the box. I know that this thing is probably made for kids, but I've found it very handy. It is very easy to wash by hand so I can use it every day.

Great Little Item
This is a great little convenience. It doesn't leak and it keeps the milk super cold. So cold, some of the milk was frozen to the side of the cup which is OK because I'm weird and I don't mind eating frozen milk. It is perfect for someone trying to watch their portion size. The bowl holds about a cup of cereal and the cup holds about half a cup of milk. The negatives are 1)you can't pick your color so if you are buying this for a boy, he may end up with a very pink cup and, 2) if you aren't trying to control your portion size you only get a half a cup of milk.Very handy for taking breakfast to the office or sending breakfast to school with your kids.

Great idea, perfect for the office!
I love this contraption! I haven't used for cereal just yet, but I've been taking with me yogurt and granola & fruits. I put the bottom part to freeze the night before, and in the morning pour some yogurt. When I go to eat it, the yogurt is almost to the point of freezing, even though I don't put it in the fridge when I get to the office. My boyfriend saw it and loved it too, so I'm getting a second one for him. Oh, one negative thing, or rather something I dont like, is the spoon. The spoon is foldable which is convinient, but trying to grab the granola to mix it after I pour the yogurt the spoon snaps. I ended up using a normal spoon.Update: I used it with milk and cereal, and I've noticed that the bottom part leaks. It's just a few drops, but enought to make me clean my whole bag. I have 2 of these and both have the same issue.

Love this thing!
I first saw this at my local Rite-Aid and thought it was a really cool idea. But the purchase price seemed absurd. I can't remember what it was, but it was enough for me to pass it by and wish it were cheaper. I then decided to see if it could be found on Amazon (seems like everything can be found on here!). It was cheaper, and with Amazon Prime, I got free shipping. So it was a done deal.I use this for Kashi crunch cereal and Fage yogurt. It works great! It's very handy to toss in my lunchbag for work. Granted, I have a fridge, so don't really need the freezing part on the bottom. But I use it anyway so that I know for sure my dairy stays fresh between home and work. I measure my food for calorie tracking, but the portions I measured out fit perfectly in each compartment, so I don't even have to measure anymore. This is the perfect size for me.

Not for me
Overall, this did not work out for me well at all.The cup leaked even before the gasket fell out, and leaked worse after that. The spoon quickly broke, and even if it hadn't the amount of cereal and milk it held is very, very small. The gel also seemed to freezed the milk, so it came out with crystals of frozen water in it that you would have to wait to thaw if you didn't want to crunch through it.Overall, I guess it would work if you wrapped it in a plastic bag every day to keep it from getting on your stuff, brought your own spoon, and don't mind a very small portion. If I had to do it again, I would order two containers (1 for cereal, 1 for milk) and make sure the milk one had a very secure seal.

Waste of money, cheaply built and poor seal
Was not impressed by how this product is built at all. Very cheap looking. Besides that the seal to prevent the milk from leaking does not work properly. I have milk spilled in my luck bag so many times I resorted to carrying it around. After a week of using t, I threw it out. Positive thing is that it does a good job of keeping the liquid cold when you freeze the bottom part first

Awesome for parfaits too!
I purchased these not for cereal, but to make parfaits, with yogurt in the bottom, gel lined section and granola and fruit in the upper section. These are just the right size. The unit comes with a foldable spoon, which fits nicely in the top of the lid. The two distinct sections screw together. I haven't tried freezing them yet. They are easy to wash and easy to transport. They fit perfectly in the fridge. The only thing is that I did find them locally for a couple of dollars cheaper at a big box store after I placed this order. But not a big deal, I'll keep the extras. Also - you can't specify which color you want when ordering through Amazon (the order details just say that the color varies and they pick a color for you. The color options include: green, blue, purple & pink. If color selection isn't a big deal, then the color surprise is just fine. I will use these over and over!

To all of you who say this is way too small, one serving of cereal is only 3/4 of a cup. What it can hold:Description says the milk container is 5.7 oz which is .71 cups or almost 3/4 of a cup. It only holds 1/2 cup of milk.Description says the cereal container is 12 oz which is 1 1/2 cups (1.5). It only holds 1 1/4 (1.25) cups.I use one serving size which is typically between 3/4 to 1 cup of cereal and 1/2 cup of milk (yeah that is all it holds) and it is just enough milk for one serving.Complaints on milk freezing - place the gel cup in the refrigerator instead of the freezer to get it cold and the milk will not freeze and it stays plenty cold. The spoon is not sturdy. I discarded mine and use a real spoon. No leaks.Cleans easily.Happy cerealing.
