A good machine
This is an exceptionally good laptop for its price. It rivals my gaming desktop in performance. It is silent, light-weight and doesn't get that hot, even when running quite intensive applications. The charging cord is a bit odd, it looks more like a charging cord for a phone, and it came with an American plug and a UK->US socket converter. It works well though and charges quickly. My only concern is that it got withheld at customs because the seller did not pay the customs fee, or ask me to pay it. I got a letter a few days later asking me to pay for it. Since the company they send from has a different name than the name listed here on Amazon, it took some time to verify that the customs request was legitimate. Delivery could have been quicker if they had just asked for £4 extra and paid the fee right away.

Great machine, unfortunate screen fault.
This a great laptop, not just "for the money" but would be pretty good value at £500. Unfortunately the screen on mine developed a fault after a couple of weeks, an annoying black line appeared on my screen, running horizontally across from the left, about halfway up. I'm gutted, I loved the laptop, but had to send it back for a refund, good old Amazon, no problem with that. Now I have to decide whether to get another one the same, or pay at least double for a same specification machine from a different vendor. Is this a reliability problem or was my machine fault a one off? I will give it a couple of weeks and read every review, if most people don't report faults, I will re-order the same laptop. The LHMZNIY A8 I had came with 8gb of ram, 512 ssd hard drive, a brilliant spec screen, great connectivity and looked really cool. The speakers and cameras are merely adequate, but the sound through Bluetooth headphones was, of course brilliant. The cpu was great on Windows 10, but as I am a Linux user I was not able to use it's full capacity in Ubuntu, however, it still performed really well even when seriously multi tasking. It is not a gaming laptop, but for everything else it is great. If I could be sure that these machines didn't have long term reliability issues, I would give it absolutely top marks. If I get another one, and have no problems after six months, I will review them again. Please buy one yourself and post any problems so we can see if my screen problem was a one off.BTW LHMZNIY doesn't mean anything in any other language, it is just an unpronounceable trading name. Good luck. Andy.

You get what you pay for - a comedy of errors.
I bought this laptop for my daughter (12) as a Christmas present December 2019 as the specs where impressive for the cost. She needed something to run photo editing software, surf the net and do schoolwork - check. The laptop arrived 24th December and did not dissapoint (at the time) but 5 months later it started producing the dreaded BSD (blue screen of death) with 'memory error' and would crash several times a day. I had already contacted YOUGOO EU as one of the keys became loose a week or so after purchase with no reply (I simply asked for the replacement bracket if possible to self fix). When contacted via dashboard due to the current problems I was asked to move over to email communication and provide a video of the error, dialog stated with a represenative of YOUGOO EU. I was then asked to attempt a local repair with YOUGOO EU meeting the costs, not the easiest thing to do during a pandemic or with a child that was home schooling and needed said laptop but I found one doing door drops and it seemed the quickest route to getting the repair completed. Things break, that's life sometimes.A few days later the repair center said after trying a few different ram modules (of the same specs) it was still crashing so they advised a return to the manufacturer. Now the next bit you want to consider very carefully before purchase ...YOUGOO EU then told me if I wanted the issue fixed, I would have to pay a courier to return it at my own expense, when I asked about the 100% money back guarentee, it apparently only lasts 3 months (see if you can find that bit on the advert) and so does 'free' return postage. This breaches Amazons own A-Z guarentee and I moved things over to Amazon expecting some type of more constructive action, you would think.Three weeks later (missing Amazons own 7 day resolution window twice) two phone calls (try actually getting hold of Amazon on the phone the first time around) one messenger conversation today with an escalation on to a 14 day letter of legal procedings for a statute duty of failure to refund under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 - not such a bargain now.Is it a good laptop for the price? definitely. Is it made of cheap components, probably. Do you want to go through what I have if and when it fails, probably not.I will update this when Amazon get around to complying with their own policies or even UK Consumer law.UPDATE - a 14 day deadline letter submitted of faulty goods complaint (legally binding) completely ignored / expired and coming up for 6 weeks now. I get the feeling Amazon have put a hold on refunds hoping some of us won't be here to collect them.UPDATE - 'claim' refused, apparently being expected to post a 5 month old laptop back to China for repair at your own expense & risk outside of any involvment with Amazon UK does not breach Amazons A-Z guarantee.Over to Trading Standards and then close of account.

Quirky good value laptop
Good stuff: battery life, easy to set up, decent processor, cheap.Bad stuff: awful trackpad - very insensitive, frustrating, you will need to use a mouse! Keyboard has a couple of keys in the wrong places (you soon get used to this). Webcam is poor, so get a better one and plug it in. Screen only average, cool colours. Conclusion: You get what you pay for!

Great laptop. What a bargain.
Amazing laptop at a bargain price. Highlights for me are the snappy performance and the great screen. The SSD hard drive means silent and fast running. I am so pleased that I didn't just settle for one of the better known names. Great seller and delivery was much faster than expected.

Do not bother
It arrived - it looked great but as soon as I switched it on it kept saying windows license had expired - took two days to get a response from the seller saying try this code and if it does not work let him know - this is not what I expect with a new laptop so I have returned it - not at all happy
