OK. I bought Honeywell in order to buy from a serious thermostat company. I was dismayed to find that it was a different dumbed down "Honeywell home" division. There was very little info in the dumbed-down directions; they didn't even say what the function of the connections was. Just vague "do this if" type directions. Which isn't enough. Their website wasn't any better.

Excuse the hillbilly mod. Big hole were the old thermostat was. Used this to replace an old style mercury millivolt thermostat for my 23 year old Napoleon Gas Fireplace. Easy install. I've noticed too that during a recent cold snap, the fireplace didn't need to stay on as long or as often to warm up the room. Save on gas (and carbon tax, ARGH!) Makes me wonder how terribly inefficient the old thermostat was. I also have been using a Honeywell HT-900 fan to help the fireplace fan push the warm air around the room. The old thermostat kept the fireplace going for almost 45 minutes where as this thermostat takes under 20 minutes to do the same thing. I'm impressed.

No es el termostato mas bonito ni mas moderno, pero viene de buen tamaño y calidad, funciona prefecto y lo mejor es su precio . Fácil de instalar y de configurar. Excelente relación precio/calidad.

I struggled for a minute during installation, but only because I didn't pay keen attention to the diagram. Once I figured out where the leads feed into the top of the panel, it was really easy. And the function buttons are easy to use and program. So glad I finally replaced my old HVAC panel.
