Pet Fence Staples

I first used these when my neighbor's landscapers crossed onto my property and tore up my buried invisible fence. I planned on using this as a temporary fix until their work project was over then rebury my wire. It worked so well that I just left it and did not rebury my wire. If you want to save the effort of trenching in your invisible dog fence, these will do the trick. A few things to keep in mind: (1) If you use this method instead of burying your wire, you'll never be able to aerate the "fence line" again; (2) it takes several weeks for the grass to grow up around the fence wire so until then, be careful not to trip on it or get it caught in your mower; and (3) once you put these into your yard, they stay there until you pull them out. I also felt the need to place the staples no more than about 5 feet apart and closer than that where there were dips or low spots the fence line (in order to keep it in contact with the ground).

I was excited to get these to keep my dog from digging out of our fence. Well he find away. They are pretty easy to bend and that’s what he did. He bent a section and go out (again)! Great idea, just wish they were a title thicker metal.

These are very handy to have when holding the wire in place when using the lawn edgier and creating a narrow trench to bury the wire underground the way I did. The staples will bend like a coat hanger would because they are just wire and not tempered. So if you have hard compacted dirt try driving them in at a 45 degree angle.

These were some of the best garden staples I have bought. Very sturdy. Not thin and they can be hammered with a mallet.

I bought these to use as weed fabric staples. They are the best I've used and fraction of the cost at home improvement and garden shops

Only suitable for small dogs, not strong enough for anything big.
