Its a bigger battery than the original
Its a bigger battery than the original(my Nüvi 2599 battery has 820mAh and now not lasting the charge),but it fits perfectly in the prelimited place.As a new update,of course is better than before for now.

Do not buy for Garmin nuvi 2599
I bought this item for my garmin nuvi 2599 and it did not fit. When I tried to plug the battery in it broke the clip on my sat nav and now it cannot be repaired . I now have no sat nav .

Fits the Garmin 2595LMT but lower capacity
Pretty simple job to replace apart from a bit fiddly with the connectors, lots of You Tube videos to help. The battery works fine but is a little smaller that the original & it's capacity is lower 1000mAh rather than the 1250mAh, so 20% less running time.

Good buy. Check your screw fittings to ensure you have the correct tool.
Very good replacement battery for sat nav.

Lower spec battery and poor quality connector - avoid if there is an alternative
The battery connection and lead are different than for a nuvi 2597LMT, so the battery has to fit flipped over, this makes it tight to the housing and the cables need to be gently hidden under the RF screen plate on the adjacent PCB. Gently gently. The connector does not fit the nuvi 2597LMT, no matter how hard i tried. In the end I decided to gently dismantle and isolate the connections from the old battery and use the old connector on the new battery connections. [not for the faint hearted as you need to ensure you do not short the battery out] I work in electronics.Overall don't buy this if you want a quick and easy exchange of battery......

Wrong plug on battery for the Nuvi 1300
Wrong plug on battery for the Nuvi 1300 had to solder the plug from the old battery on to the new one.

Does Not Fit Garmin Nuvi 2599
The description says that this battery is compatible with the Garmin Nuvi 2599, it is not!This battery has a completely different battery connector.
