Wonderful book for teachers to bring big ideas into the classroom.
Today there is so much exhortation and discussion for teaching critical thinking in secondary schools, and in reality this is voicing a call for philosophy in high school. Here is an approachable book that leads students into the company of philosophers, where they can openly converse about the major issues that influence their lives on a daily basis.Wonderful cover, I agree. Plato and Aristotle conversing in Raphael's School of Athens in the Vatican, an image the students will recall from their history classes. If the camera were to shift to the left, standing just outside the frame is Socrates in profile.Erick Wilberdingauthor, Teach like Socrates

Wonderful tool for teen discussion
I have used this book as a jumping off point for weeks of after school teen discussion. The short real life anecdotes are fun to role play and the explanations and follow up questions have spurred a lot fo great dialogue with my teen groups.

GREAT for teens.
Especially the tile & cover sucks teens in. Excellent content & selection of topics to match, ones that are basic but important to teens.

No real understanding of "teens" in this book. Written for 18+ not accessible for younger teens.
