Online budget and expense trackers are available and some of them are free and filled with handy features, but you are stuck with having to use a computer and in some cases exposing yourself to losing your financial and personal records to hackers. The Dome book is nice for simple budgets and expense tracking. so long as you remember to use it and make it a habit you have all your income and expenses. It would be nice if the spaces were larger so you could add more detail other than numbers. However, I have added a separate sheet of paper and then if I want to add extra info on an expense I just use the number of the day and category to make a note of it. day 3 category 7 is simply 3-7.I plan on rebuying again for next year.

We have been using this product for about 30 years, (the very same- I think it was about $1.75 then) but it was a great way for my husband and I had just retired and we wanted to know how much money we needed going forward. We didn’t have to change our lifestyle really but change our investment style to meet our needs. It just became a habit and continue to this day. It doesn’t mean you live ‘on a budget’ but you have the peace of mind knowing how you spend your money.

Serviceable and inexpensive. I have used these for several years, and appreciate they are a staple, easy to find. The only thing is many of the categories don't apply to me, so I have to white out and write in my own. Dome, could you leave the categories blank and let people write their own in. There are instructional pages that show customers how to use the book, so it's not essential to do that. Otherwise, it would be five stars.

I have been using Dome budget books for my household budget for years. I love the detail that they provide and they help us see how much we've spent in each category and easily show you where changes need to be made in your spending habits, if any. There is also a space to add income and a space for tax-deductable items. At the end of each month you can look at your totals and compare for each month, and at the end of the year. I also love the instructions and advice at the beginning of the book. Written years ago, it still applies for today. I highly recommend this book to keep detailed track of your spending and income!

I have purchased this same book for years. This time, the cover and pages were crushed and distorted, like it had been sitting in water at some point. Spirals all crushed, which made it impossible to turn the pages.The thought of standing in a 30 person line for Amazon returns at Kohl’s is more than I can deal with right now, so I’m calling it a loss and junking it. (So annoying!)

I have used this product for more than 20 years. I keep track of all my expenses monthly. I like the way this book allows me to put in expenses daily throughout the month and it does a nice job on categories as well. There are places in the back of the book to keep track of major expenses including medical, etc. I'm glad it is still available on Amazon.

Using this to track my budget. It is compact and is smaller than you think after looking at the picture. The pages are well laid out and its obvious Dome has used its years of experience in the ledger book market to distill the design to just what you need. I think the price is also excellent for what you get. I would recommend this to anyone who really wants to understand where the money goes. Also useful at tax time.

Good guide to assist with budgeting. The small flaw (IMOHO) is that there is not enough space for additional items. For example in a day you may pay for breakfast, and dinner but you have to tally that and put it as a whole figure. Nothing is wrong with that, however, an excel spread sheet can be modified to break down all items and do addition and subtraction. I bought it for the generalized book keeping i.e. hard copy of expenses.
