Smart home security done well
So I've now become a casual user of smart devices after setting up a few now, these door sensors are extremely useful if you want to add some smart home security, they just sit over doors or windows and whenever there is a break between them (ie the door or window is opened) it can alert the smart user in anyway you choose I have alerts set to remind me on my phone and to start Spotify on my home speakers just to scare people lol. Installation is easy either via stick on pads or screws, both come with the unit so no shopping for any. And setup is a doddle.

Be patient if trying to use as part of an Alexa routine
I bought this item primarily to work with Alexa. I wanted to create a routine so that my smart hallway lamp comes on when I open the front door at night.I installed the Koogeek Android app and the device is recognised by it with no problems. I get a message each time the device is opened or closed. I linked the App to Alexa, by enabling the Koogeek Life Skill and Alexa can see when the door sensor opens and closes BUT you cannot use it as part of an Alexa Routine. The Alexa Routine just does NOT run when the device is opened or closed.I have tried several permutations, trying to get the Alexa routine to do other things, such as announce a message on my Alexa device when the Dooor sensor opens or closes but nothing seems to work.TO SUM UP THIS DEVICE DOES NOT WORK WITH ALEXA.Just because Alexa recognises it, does not make it compatible if you cannot use it as part of a Routine. If your aim is to use with Alexa, I would avoid.[Update] After I had forgotten about the device, about an hour later the Alexa Routine started to work. When I now open the front door, the hallway lamp comes on and my Alexa announces a message to same effect. I suppose it just needed some time for Alexa to sort itself out. Upgraded rating from 2 to 4 stars

Compatible with smartlife devices for automation.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. Very easy to install and to mount.I had some wifi smart bulbs controlled by smart life phone app and I wanted a door sensor compatible with my smart bulbs. This sensor is great as I can use it in smart life app automation. The pairing with the app is very simple. I just had to follow the steps from manual. It alerts me immediately as the door opens and also send command to light to light on. Very cool device.

Came with missing parts... Would like a response p3
It would have really been much easier to install if all of the components had been included in the packaging that I thought I was getting... THE MAGNET WASN'T IN THE BOX...( See photos I ended up using one from my cabinet door) Also as you can imagine my confusion (being I have never used an item like this before) I was uncliping and clipping the main receiver component... Well after all let's be honest was quite a few times and the clips eventually failed so I had to use masking tape(see photos if you look closely your will see the tape)... Altogether one MASSIVE BOGE JOB... Once I'd done all that the app and the software works fine... But I feel really let down as I have recently lost my home to do with the pandemic and had to take a flat in an area that you wouldn't leave your socks on the washing line... And if it wasn't for the magnet situation I was going to be buying 3 more.... Anybody know how I can get in touch with this company please... Many thanks and kind regards... RichardIt would be getting no stars.

Works well in a smart home set up
Easily set up with SmartLife app, no n hub required. I've used to it to turn on lights when the door opens, these lights are also connected to SmartLife app. The sensor is sleek looking and it is fairly easy to set up once you're familiar with smart home devices and settings. I also get a notification everytime the front door opens, it adds to the security of my home, cool little devices, very useful once you know how to use it in your smart home set up.

Does what's intented but could be better.
I bought one because my 20 year old has several times come home or left the house without pulling the door to and closing properly. The devise makes no noise, but your phone does. I've been unable to work out how to change the "alarm" sound or ensure it works overnight. (I mist have something disable for this to be the case.)What I was hoping to be able to do, is have something which warns me if the door is ajar for more than a couple of minutes, but this doesn't seem possible. Or is it?Overall happy enough.

Easy to install
This is a great little gadget. Comes with an instruction manual which is good, but very small and you need good eyesight to be able to read it.I found it very easy to setup with my iPhone and the downloaded app. Added it to Alexa without incident and also setup a routine to alert me via alexa when my garage door is opened or closed. All very simple. The only real frustration is when I ask Alexa 'Is my garage door closed', she will repeat her answer twice ie 'The garage door is closed the garage door is closed'. Not the end of the world but frustrating

Fantastic bit of kit!
So pleased with this sensor. The fact it connects directly to wifi is great - I didn't want anything that needed a hub. I had a simple use case - to turn off a smart switch when a door is opened. Using an Alexa routine, this took me 30 seconds. The setup with the app was relatively easy, and the Alexa integration works really well. Time will tell how long the battery lasts; I'm assuming the wifi chip goes to sleep in between activations.
