King James Bible (KJV Bible 400th Anniversary Seal Edition)

Ignore the other reviewer, he's probably not even Christian. This one has a lot of good things about it. It has wide margins for writing notes, for those of us who read it regularly or hear sermons on passages, it's great to not down things. It has decent sized print, not big or small and space between lines is good, I have no problems underlining or circling words or lines. The paper is great for writing on, unlike thin paper in pretty bibles, this paper was meant to take ink. If you're the kind of Christian that likes to grow in the word, this Bible is for you! It was so nice this is my 2nd one, in the pic you can see what daily reading over 5 years does to it, but that's ok because it's $4. Plus American Bible society is a great organization where 100% of donations goes towards putting Bibles onto the hands of those who need it.

Highly recommend because there are helpful titled sections which make reading the Bible easier

Terrible service. Took months for it to ship. Of course the Holy Bible does not need praise, its the greatest book known to all of humanity.

I read this Bible all the time!

I like having a Bible collection. I'm not sure why, but I like it. I know it's not cool or fashionable to read the Bible, but I like to. I don't really like this translation with the Old English. It obscures the points when you have to figure out what this old expression means or that one. This isn't one that I'll sit down and read, but I like to cross-reference scriptures and my favorite passages.

Because how could this not be 5 stars? Should have known it was a soft back for the price.

I purchased this Bible for my religious studies and also found it curious to know what is written in the Bible considering Muslims and Jews say that Christians do not follow the Bible. The text, especially the Old Testament provides insight to the old Biblical times. And I must say, I was rather surprised to find the context very similar to that of the Torah and the Quran. I can see now why Muslims say the Christians have changed the wording for the Bible and are hypocrites etc, but I do not believe as much as changing the wording but it is rather that the Christians do not follow the Bible as they should. E.g. it is mentioned in Genesis, Old Testament that swine meat is forbidden and that a male born child should be circumcised. This is a belief still followed by Muslims. Yet I do not know a single Christian that follows what is written in the Bible. It is not surprising that Muslims say Islam is their true religion, because it is said in the Quran that God has had enough, he sent the Psalms, the Torah, Bible, Gospel and now the Quran is the final word and let there be no dispute. And to date (those that are genuine Muslims) do believe and follow the Quran (Hajj and the sacrificing of the animal is derived from Prophet Abraham times), most of which is already written in the Bible, and to the Muslims the Quran is the word of God, the law of life. This King James’ Bible is very valuable to those that wish to study the original text and compare to text of other religions. It has helped me immensely to understand what Christianity is supposed to be about. However, I do find it a shame that when talking to Christians in today’s society that a majority of people are not aware of the contents of the Bible and do not follow God’s word. Neither do they attend Church, not surprising with the number of Churches declining in the UK. I am rather pleased with my purchase and will store it amongst my other religious books. God’s word is sacred, one should spend time in reading, and gives better understanding to those that follow other religions and similarities with the Christianity.

I will be buying the big version when I can free up some extra cash.

Very good. Every chapter is provided with titles and food for the study. Paper quality is not good
