This Nopal powder is a great thickener for soups, stews, smoothies, gumbo &c. . . Nice mild flavor; goes with everything; if you don’t like the taste and texture of okra you might not like it. Since I don’t have access to fresh nopal, I find this to be a great substitute and you don’t have to deal with the prickles..Also, it is great for digestion and blood sugar control.

First, let me say that I am in the camp who are not thrilled with the taste. It isn't nasty, just earthy and almost like drinking pureed okra. The powder is unbelievably fine and once wet becomes like grout. My routine is to put a tablespoon with water in my small Magic Bullet® bender and make a 'smoothie'. Goes down quick and then the magic begins! The pandemic caused me to gain about 20# and so back onto Keto I went as that diet just works for me. The problem with Keto is constipation--well, that problem is no more. What is great about Nopal is that it just enforces regularity; i.e., no sudden laxative effect or gas.This stuff is vastly superior to Metamucil® (psyllium) because it is not only a superior fiber source, but it has superfood qualities (ancient tribes weren't stupid).

There's an elderly lady who uses the cactus juice.So I thought I would try this Nopal 100 cactus powder. I tried and was amazed how it has helped me.Went to my family doctor and he told me I looked better than I had in a long time. For past few years I've had a lot of medical issues.I will continue to use.Thanks,Jonathan

I like to add this cactus powder to smoothies for an added kick of Vitamin C and Fiber, and a healthy dose of antioxidants. Thickens a little bit but adds a soft, flavorful tanginess to my smoothie. Love it in bulk 💚

I'm sure this product is good for you, but it literally tastes like dirt. I recommend you add it to a smoothie or juice, as it doesn't taste good in water and it needs to be mixed in a shaker cup or blender as it doesn't mix well with spoon or fork. I am going to use up the bag and will update at a later time.

This product drastically lowered my A1C. In addition to taking this after every meal I started walking 20-30 minutes a day and cut out ALL sugar and carbs. I went from taking 3 shots a day to 1. To be truthful, it tastes horrible when you start taking it. I take mine in just water after every meal and have been on this regime for 2 years. I would always sneak a cookie or pig out on pasta (never thinking carbs convert to sugar). When you take care of yourself, eat well, exercise your life changes drastically for the better. I have never felt this great and I will continue taking care of myself.
