Fantastic Rice!
Excellent flavor, excellent texture. Cooked the rice and put onions and mushrooms in while cooking. The put in chestnuts and dried cranberries. Delicious. Highly recommend and Will purchase again!

Fine quality and flavor
This was the first time I've bought their rice but I'll be buying more. I was initially hesitant to order because of the price and shipping for a pound of rice, but decided to try it as a holiday splurge. This is unlike any other wild rice I've had. It looks as pictured, clean, with unbroken grains, light brown in color. My first trial, I cooked according to their directions and with just salt butter and pepper. It was nutty and flavorful, with a texture that reminded me of barley. I'm looking forward to trying some add-ins for pilafs, but this is a good side dish just by itself. I'll be serving this with my Christmas prime rib roast, and estimate the 1 lb. of rice will serve at least twelve.

Expensive–But oh so Worth It!
You haven't really had Wild Rice--until you've had THIS Wild Rice. Taste is buttery with a nutty finish. Smooth texture and out of this world flavor. Makes cultivated wild rice taste...well, let's just say cultivated. All these years and I didn't know what I was missing. Only problem is it's so very expensive so can only afford for special occasions. Wish I could make every day a special occasion. This wild rice is that good. Naturally harvested and grown in the icy protected waters of Northern Minnesota. I like to add finely chopped scallions, celery and touch of cayenne. Oh so good.

It's what makes Minnesota so unique
It may seem pricey but there is a lot of loving care and attention and hard work that goes into the harvesting of this great product. Perfect for our family's white rice/wild rice mix with sour cream and ham stuffing.

Expensive but worth it
Other than the price there is nothing not to like about this rice. And I completely understand why it’s so expensive. This is probably the only type of rice that won’t spike blood sugar levels for diabetics or at least not nearly as much as regular or brown rice. Unlike regular rice this variety of wild rice is more than just empty starch. It’s actually food and you feel like you’re eating actual nutritious food when you eat it. It’s almost like you’re not eating rice but some new type of delicious food. It tastes like something wholesome and righteous like it was made by the elves of middle earth or something. It’s too expensive for me to eat all the time but when I’m tired of eating sweet potato as my starch this type of rice is the only healthy starch that I don’t feel is bad for me. And it tastes worlds better than that black mass produced paddy wild rice. Try it and taste the righteousness of it.

I would not recommend this product.
In over 60 yrs of loving wild rice, I have never tasted anything so awful. This product was visually unappealing, had a waxy consistency, and had no flavor. I was unable to eat it and threw out what I had cooked. Unfortunately, it appears I am not able to get my money back.
