My dad and step mom gave my twin and I Lester for Christmas 1982. We selected him out of a Sears catalog. Dad never had money except for that Christmas. Nor did we see dad much making this a very memorable and special gift. Over the years Lester got misplaced. Dad died two years ago. Excited to find Lester available on Amazon (he looks the same as in 1982), I purchased Lester for my twin for X-mas 2020. A very happy surprise for my twin. Thank you Amazon!

Seems to be harder to operate than I was anticipating, but it is very cute and sometimes I carry it around and call it my emotional support dummy.

Unfortunately this is not a good buy. I had one of original editions of Lester in the 80’s and can clearly observe a downgrade in quality. The main issue is that the stuffing in the torso is so soft, that you can barely pull the string to make him talk. In addition, his skin tone does not resemble that of the authentic Lester or the original Lesters of the 70’s and 80’s. It’s somewhat insulting. I will be returning this item.

Mouth was hard to move other than that he's a classic i had one when I was a kid so I really like him.

I had him back years ago , used to teach children Bible classes, 7 different countries, used him till the string for mouth wore out. I way so happy to find him here on Amazon. He will go to Peru now. Had 6 outfits made for him. As he is not Brocken in yet, he is stiff. We all love him.

Daughter loves this gift! Easily workable for 9year old and above. Nice that the face isn’t scary like some!

I bought this for a gift for my husband and he loves it. He had one a long time ago that he gave to a friend and that Lester got burned in a house fire. So he asked for one and he was very happy to receive it!
