Cylinder Guard Plate for surface deadbolt lock cylinders.
Anyone who has inspected a home and found evidence of tampering with lock cylinders will find this cylinder guard a useful and cost-effective protective measure. Read the product description first to determine this cylinder guard plate fits your application. They install easily when measurements have been taken beforehand, and the instructions are followed. These cylinder guards are substantially made of brass-plated pressed steel plates. Install them properly and they will serve you well. Remember to read the product description, especially the dimensions of the cylinder guard plate. Also measure the lock cylinder(s) on your door, and make sure there is clearance between other locks and door hardware for the cylinder guard plates to fit. Note: If purchasing these cylinder guard cover plates for older style mortised deadbolts, make sure you know the dimensions/location of the mortise lock and mounting hardware INSIDE of the door before you start drilling holes for the mounting bolts. Obviously, you do not want to drill into the mortise lock and destroy it. Also measure how far the lock cylinder extends from the surface of the door, and make sure you have clearance for the Cylinder Guard Cover Plate. Do your preparation first and there should be no problem installing these Cylinder Guard cover plates.

Good Addition to Jimmy-Proof Locks
I bought this product with my Segal SE 15361 Deadbolt. It fits perfectly over the external lock, and looks extremely attractive. I recommend this product to anyone concerned about their lock security.

Good product, does the job - but watching to see if the finish tarnish excessively
This is a security plate that goes over the lock. It was definitely sturdy and seems to have the heft necessary to withstand a possible assault. Was a little suspicious of the finish but only time will tell.
