"Always saving. Always counting. Always Growing" The Digi-Piggy is a piggy bank like no other; this piggy is able to count your savings for you. The Digi-Piggy comes with an innovative electronic LCD readout on its snout that allows you to track your savings while being both and easy and fun at the same time. For every coin dropped into the bank the LCD displays its value by blinking three times followed by the total amount saved. When you are ready to empty the bank, simply push the reset button and the Digi-Piggy is ready to begin saving again. With an innovative digital readout on the pig’s snout, the Digi-Piggy counts all American coins and keeps a running total, regardless of the order or the value of the coins inserted. Ideal for young children as a financial educational toy, for college students who always need laundromat and vending machine coins or adults in constant search of those valuable parking meter quarters. Digi-Piggy is a great product for every member of the family. Constructed of highly-durable plastic, Digi-Piggy is designed with longevity, functionality and safety in mind. The digital snout renders accurate up-to-the penny readouts, perfect for youngsters who are saving with a particular financial goal or purchase item in mind. The Digi-Piggy has been designed with safety in mind. The AA batteries are housed in the top portion of the bank with its own battery housing and a small safety screw keeps the batteries out of a child's reach allowing for adult peace of mind.

I have a few complaints...
This is cute. It's huge. It counts coins accurately for the most part, I think we only had two that it missed because we went too fast. (This is my five-year-old's.)I have two main issues with it. One is that if you're five, you want to be able to access your stash for purchases every so often. With this bank, you can't change the running total when you take some out. So when you do so, either the total is inaccurate, or you have to reset it and run all the coins back through the counter. The other issue we had is that it resets itself once in awhile. There is a small reset button inside the lid, and the only conclusion I can come to is that, when you're five, and you want to shake your bank to feel and hear the clunk of hard-earned quarters, they can hit that button and reset your total to zero. She just likes it because it's pink, and full of money she's earned. We'll have to be creative and maybe even use......MATH.

Love it
SOOOOOO. This one was for my Boyfriend.Me: Hey, there is a buy two option. Do you want one?Bf: ....naw.Me: ok.Then it arrives and he was so excited he wouldn't even let me touch it. He immediately started putting coins in it. So I bought him a pink one so he'd leave mine alone. It's MUCH bigger than it looks.I have $10 in there (mostly pennies and nickles) and it has just the legs filled. Plus the coins can go all the way into the colored part.It does do it by size of coins. So you need to go a little slow or else it will get it all confused. But it's worth it for people who mainly use a debit card.

Cute and Fun to Use
The Pink Piggybank is a cute gift for a child. For the price, it offers what would be expected -- a piggybank, a digital counter. The only issue, which doesn't really distract from the piggybank, since it was very reasonably priced, is that when you remove a portion of the change from the piggybank, you cannot change the digital counter to reflect the amount removed. Basically, you would have to remove all remaining change and reenter it into the piggybank to find out how much is left.

Kids like it.
This is one of the few items I gave my 7-year old niece on her birthday last year that's still intact a year later. Which is a testament to how much she likes it. A modern twist on the traditional piggy bank, this bank has a cute appearance, and a digital readout that counts your money as you insert it through the slot. It even works with half-dollars and dollar coins. My only complaint is that, unlike a traditional piggy bank, it's far to easy to open -- which doesn't exactly encourage long-term savings, especially when the ice cream truck comes through the neighborhood in the summer. :)Other than that, recommended.

We LOVE THEM! We get them when our kids turn ...
This is our second diggi bank! We LOVE THEM! We get them when our kids turn 5. It's a great tradition and they love putting their money in and we love having a place for their pennies to go. My only complaint is the packaging the diggi bank box had expletives written on it with a marker. Specifically f*** amazonIt still worked great, but we were dissapointed to discover this at her birthday party when unwrapping her present.

though my daughter has reset and put the coins back in just for fun - several times
My daughter loves this "piggy" bank. Not only does it add up the coins you put in, but it keeps a running balance that is constantly displayed. Plus, if you take out coins, you can deduce that amount without having to reset and re-enter the coins... though my daughter has reset and put the coins back in just for fun - several times.

Need very sturdy fingers to make sure coins are counted correctly.
Useful for my 5-year old. The only disappointment is that when my girls try to put a coin into it, the counting mechanism (through which the coin needs to be pushed) is very tight and sometimes the coin pops back out if not pushed all the way through. However, it would still often count the coin and add to the total! So our total on the LCD overstates how much money is in it. Hopefully the kids will learn how to deposit money effectively and it would stop being a regular issue.

Great item
I already had one so bought 2 more for our grandkids - once they are full they get one on their 7th birthday. I like the counter and the fact the bottom part is clear so you can see the coins

My daughter likes it, except that it counts toonies as loonies. Guess because it is made for American money, not Canadian, eh?!
