SAND MINE Countdown to Christmas Wooden DIY Advent Calendar with Changeable Top Decoration

I bought these for my 3 kids because I wanted them to have matching advents but each have something unique. I couldn’t find any that were the same but different colors or some other distinction so I decided these would work because each kid can choose the two decorations they want on top from the six choices provided. They could even change them daily if they wanted to. I’m so glad I chose these.They are fairly sturdy, especially given the price. Im not sure they’ll hold up for generations to come but they should last the next ten plus years that I’ll need them, I’m assuming.As for the size of the drawers, I’m able to get three Hershey’s kisses or a whole bunch of skittles or other small candies if I take them out of the packaging. I also put paper in there with clues to another location for days I had something larger. On the last day I wrote a note to find someone you’re thankful for and tell them what they do that makes you happy, then I wrote that good things come to those who are kind and when they completed the task I gave them a candy bar. Just an idea.I’m so happy I purchased these. They are exactly what I was looking for and at such a reasonable price.

I am very happy with this advent. Yes it is thin, and may not be the strongest in construction, but for the price point it is perfect. It fits the smallest of mini treats, but the boxes are constructed so that they don't just fall out of their holders. They will fit the small figures I purchased to surprise the little ones. And the kids liked that they could choose which topper to put up. It takes 2 AAA batteries to light up the LED strip, and that lets off a nice warm light. This is not family heirloom quality. I doubt it will stand the test of time, without serious mending. But it is a pretty piece to have while the little ones still have that holiday sparkle in their eyes.

I bought 2 and liked the fact they could choose the topper. They also moved the drawers around to make it more fun searching each day. It is fragile but had a talk to my destructive boys and they're being extra careful.

When the item arrived, some of the pegs used to open the drawers were falling off. Also, some of the fronts of the drawers were falling off. Nothing a little glue can't fix. The first 2-3 drawers (drawers with the numbers 1-3) are smaller than the rest due to the battery box in the back of the calendar. This caused issues with stuffing the boxes with the things we wanted in them. Overall, it is cute and the price is affordable. Just be ready to glue things back into place and not put much in drawers 1-3. It meets our basic needs, but just know what you are getting into before you buy.

The quality of this item is terrible. The “S” in Christmas was broken off the topper. The drawer for day 1 didn’t fit correctly and the top of the structure wasn’t cut correctly to fit either. So the toppers wouldn’t lay in the slots on the top standing up or without forcing them down which then made the whole top come off. It’s not worth it. I’m returning.

I’ve been wanting to create my own advent calendar for our son. Too excited to find this. It is exactly what we were looking for. Fits mini figurines in the little drawers. Our son loves diff characters and now instead of one theme, we can do multiple themes/characters. Really like that it comes with multiple decorating tops and our son chose 2 to attach. We’ll prob switch them out in a cpl weeks for fun. I also really like that it lights up. We used to buy advent calendars in cardboard boxes, but this one we can use to decorate our home & reuse annually. The colors are also great for the holidays.

The piece is beautiful and I didn't have any issues with my drawers or knobs or even with the numbers. However, one of the top pieces is too thick and I'm going to have to shave it down to use it (unfortunately for me, my favorite top piece). However, other than that, it's going to serve us at Christmas for quite some time as long as no one gets rough with it. I would recommend this purchase for the pricepoint.
