pop-up drains need to be a thing of the past, but this makes my life easier at least
Let me start by saying pop-up drains are one of humanity's biggest flaws and it baffles me why they still exist.I have long, curly/wavy, incredibly thick hair, and I take great pride in it.Hair like mine and pop-up drains have been at war since the darn things started popping up in showers (ha...).So I bought this little ring to help stop any clogging. It is incredibly flexible, easy to put on and take off. Water flows through fairly easily, considering the small masses of hair that try to penetrate the ring and escape down the drain. Over all, I am satisfied with this product. It does what its supposed to do.Warns to future buyers who have little patience:You will need to wait for water to drain completely before attempting to remove the ring or clean it. If waiting bothers you that much, go dry off and come back.If you do not put it on correctly, hair will still escape. Make sure the flat lip on the inside if the ring is UNDER the head of your pop-up drain. To sum up, we live in a world where pop-up drains exist, and unfortunately no product is perfect enough to really undo the evils of the pop-up drain. However, this one is affordable and works well. Better than my alternative of cutting my hair and letting the pop-up drain win.

Too large for my tub
The ring is way too big for my tub. It just sits around the stopper, I think it will still work sitting around it, but it definitely does NOT fit snugly around the base like in the description.

OMG. Just buy it. We just moved into an apartment with a screw down drain plug and it started draining slow. We removed it, and found half of the old tenants hair in there. It’s a bit of a process to remove that drain so I went looking for something that would stop the problem before it became a problem. We have a Sink Shroom in the bathroom sink (because of the same issue) and love it, but we did have to remove the stopper to make that work. We weren’t totally convinced that removing the tub drain would be a great move since we might want to soak at some point and the cross bar seemed a little shallow for the tub shroom to fit so we found this. I just took my first shower with it installed (if you can put a rubber band on something, you can install this) and am writing this review still in a towel. I’m wildly impressed and hope the inventor of this thing is living out their days in wealth and luxury. It’s BRILLIANT.

Works
This works very well at stopping the hair from going down the drain. But, I've found I have to wipe up the hair under it before removing it. If I remove it, all the hair stuck under it goes down the drain. But, if do that, it works just as advertised.

This works and stays in place
This ring does work to stop hair from getting down the drain. Like all the hair catchers it does slow the water flow down a little. I wish it was made in a color to make it much less noticeable such as white, off white, almond or gray. Gray is made for sinks and it blends in better with the chrome drain plug. It fits snug and will stay in place and it will stop small objects like earnings and rings from accidentally going down the drain. To me the big disappointment is you can not push the tube stopper down to fill the tube for a bath with this ring still in place. It prevents my stopper from going down. For that reason, and because of the cost, and the bright colors I took one star off rating. It takes away from a sophisticated look in a bathroom. I was offered a promotional credit for writing an honest review.

Tub Ring is Fantastic!
My shower was needing drano once a week from the hair. And bathing dogs was worse. We did have a mesh screen but it wasn't very good. This product is wonderful and adjust to any drain size. It's easy to clean too. I recommend!!

It's not bad; it's not great
This drain protector is ok. Nothing more, really. It seems to stop hair effectively as there is a giant clump of it every time my wife gets out of the shower. My gripe is that it stops hair with it still stuck to the shower floor. Since water is not stopped at the base level, it flows straight into the drain. That means hair never gets raised up before it is caught by the guard. I have to try to peel much of the hair off of the shower floor, which I just find gross and cumbersome. About 80% of it comes with the guard when I pull it off, but 20% is glued to the tub. It's not bad and I imagine it has some great applications. It solved a need for us to put into a tub with one of those twist-and-pull stoppers. I gave it three stars because it's very average, but I wouldn't be opposed to giving it 4 stars.

it works!
My wife gave me a hard time for spending $20 on a little piece of shaped plastic, but I told her we weren't really saving money by buying bottles of Drano regularly for the kids' bathtub, and this one seemed to have the shape and design that might work with our tub. And it does work well. Every so often, you will want to pull the hair and other debris out.

Super effective for pop up drains (but measure first!)
I've only used it once so far, but this thing caught a shocking amount of hair without really slowing down the water's ability to drain. I followed the advice of others in these reviews and didn't remove it until after the shower had dried and it was super easy to clean. I would really recommend paying attention to the measurements and measuring your own drain before buying, my pop up drain is pretty much exactly the max recommended size and it fit perfectly, the hair catcher wedged underneath the drain cover and sealed really well. If your drain is a lot smaller I don't think it would be nearly as effective.

Works well but broke in less than 2 months
This product works very well and is easy to clean. However, it split along the seam in less than 2 months. We don't mishandle it or remove it often or use harsh cleaning chemicals. I think this is either a design flaw, or we ended up with a dud. Hoping to get my money back or a replacement. It's WAY too expensive to be replacing on a regular basis.

Does not work as stated.
I was hoping this product would work for me as the woman in this house lose a lot of hair in the bathtub. It seemed "new and innovative" so bought it. Unfortunately, it did not work...it caught some hair but did not catch a lot. I ended up replacing it with something that I found at Walmart (that actually sits "in" the drain). It's too bad because it is very pretty, it just didn't work.

Awesome
So happy with the product. Catches all the hairs that were blocking the drain. Nowdays no need to put blockage remover chemical there. Just need to clean hairs on this tube.
