Great Case, Just One Thing That Could Be Better.
The case looks awesome! It came very well packaged and presented in a nice white box. Inside I found the assembled aluminum frame, the acrylic back plate, and a small Ziploc bag containing an extra set of Philips screws and a matching screwdriver.The aluminum frame is very well machined with excellent tolerances. The finish on the aluminum frame is a very nice gloss black. So far nothing has scrached it or chipped it off any of the finish. Inside the frame there is a strip of felt like material to protect the edges of your phone.The back plate is a single piece of acrylic with a the color of your choice applied to the inside. This is a nice touch, if I scratch it the color will still remain. The cutouts for the camera, and finger print reader are where I have an issue. They look great and line up perfectly, but are extremely sharp. A simple chamfer or bevel on the edges would have been a beautiful touch. Right now as it sits I am going to debur them and then file the sharp edges off. Until this is finished it will sit on my shelf because it keeps catching on the pockets of my suits.The buttons work well although without the case secured on the phone they feel like they will fall out. Once on I haven't had any problems at all.There is one drawback to the case aside from styling. It does seem to affect the cell phone signal strength. Without screws placing just the top part around the phone reduces the bars displayed, and can be measured using the signal strength monitor in settings. I won't go very in depth on this as it could be a exaggerated with the location I tested it at.If I purchase another one it will be red so I can mix and match the bezel, buttons, and back plate.
