Deco 79 Metal Crane Decorative Garden Sculpture Indoor Outdoor Garden Statues, Set of 2 Outdoor Sculptures 40", 38"H, Green

I ordered these figures primarily because I wanted some height in a part of my garden. From the picture the cranes appeared somewhat colored so I was a bit surprised to find them painted a nice bright green. But I love them. The color certainly matches the green garden and no one should take themselves that seriously when in a garden with two green cranes. Yes, a bit light in weight - you'll either have to bury their legs six inches in the ground or use something to hold the figures. I'm using a heavy duty metal "U" shaped staple to hold the cranes down by their feet - check your hardware department for gadgets used to hold down tents or trellises. The cranes have provided the eye height I wanted as well as a whimsical touch to my garden. By the way, they come so well packed you'll be wondering what's in the package short of the family jewels!

These cranes are worth twice the price. The reason for only 4 stars is that they need some work before setting up in the yard. They are top heavy and fall over easily. I resolved this by mounting them on a 3' x 2" x 6" treated board. I drilled 8 holes into the board for each crane and tied them down with cable ties. (see picture). The cranes also needed to be weatherized. I sprayed each inside and out with three coats of high gloss polyurethane. Then let them cure for 3 days. The polyurethane really brings out the colors.(see picture) Anyway, I dug a small ditch for the board to sit below ground, then covered just to the top, so you can see the feet. These birds add a lot of beauty to my yard. If you are willing to put a couple of hours into them, I would highly recommend purchasing them. (Sorry about the pictures showing up sideways. They weren't added in that position...oh well, lol.

WOW WOW thuan is one of my most beautiful purchases from amazon. These birds are super amazing. I mean perfection in a box. So they came with a little bend here and there but nothing you can't fix in 2 seconds simply with your hands. In fact you can shape how you want because the metal is flexible. Colors are soooo beautiful and the birds are quite solid. You will need to hold them down in the ground with pins but aside from that I can say I am 100% satisfied and more. They look so beautiful next to the garden fountain and with birds singing all day it sets the tone for a lovely space.

I have these in my living room, I like how they look, but they are rather cheaply made! If the legs don't fit into the hole and it doesn't tighten, they will tip over and then bend and end up wobbling. I like the look of them though! You could never have these outside, they are very light weight!

Purchased this item in 2014 and should have painted them before I put outside. Now they are a rusty mess, legs don’t fit, headed for the trash can. Don’t recommend.

After reading other reviews I decided to take a chance and buy these. I love the way they look in my garden but as some reviewers have stated they are very flimsy. After digging the feet into the ground I put decorative rocks on top to keep them stable otherwise they will fall over on a windy day. If you are looking for solid construction forget these. If you want a whimsical look and good addition to your garden I would say buy them!

These cranes are nice and attractive, but the design has major flaws. The legs are attached at the feet and the two legs are inserted in small tubes at the base of the body. However, there is only one tightening screw on one of the tubes, so one leg is completely unsecured and pulls loose. Also, the weight of the body requires stronger legs and larger receptacles for sliding the legs into. There is no way to secure the other leg to the body unless you try to drill a hole in the tiny tube and hope you can get a screw to fit and tighten. I am quite unhappy with this feature of the cranes. I would have given them a much higher rating, but I just cannot given the fact that the body will probably fall off of the legs with the first big gust of wind, which we have plenty of where I live.

Very beautiful but a little flimsy. They do tip over easily in the wind, so I staked them down. Stakes pulled up in high winds and they continued to fall over. I fixed the feet to a heavy paving stone and that did the trick. I am pleased with my purchase overall. Good value.
