The spikes are really what you should be looking at when purchasing this item. The stainless steel spikes do not wear down as easily and end up lasting athletes a long time before needing a change. The tool that comes with the spikes is really a novelty item only. If you have a better spike wrench, or pliers, you will not swap them out for this tool. It doesn't fit the best and ends up getting beat up really quickly making it next to worthless after working through a few pairs of spikes. For me the extra wrench ends up simply being a backup in a box of other wrenches in case more than one tool is needed at one time.4 Sharp Spiked Stars out of 5!

These spikes are definitely not 3/8-inch, they are full 1/2 inch spikes--so a bit longer. Decided to keep them as my son can use these longer spikes on wet/muddy fields.

Useless. It took over a week to arrive and then when trying to put the very first spike without it working I noticed that the tool was stripped out! It was obviously previously used. Very disappointed.

The threads are accurate and even, the spikes are uniform in length and with. They install easily and provide excellent grip.

A good product for a good price.
