great looking, solid, comfortable

This 30 inch bar stool is sturdy, but it arrived with minor damages - a few scrapes and one of the gliders for the bottom of the legs was broken. Nothing too major, and it may have happened during shipping.It was pretty easy to put together and the included instructions were good. The seat and back are wood, while the frame is black metal. All of the corners of the frame have bronze paint on them, presumably to help the metal blend better with the wood. I think it would have been better to leave the frame a solid black.It's pretty comfortable for a bar stool. The seat is nice and wide and the back supports you nicely. I'm about 5'6 and only the tips of my toes reach the bottom bars of the stool. My brother, who is about 6'1, says the stool fits him perfectly. It's a sturdy and solid stool.

I really like these stools' appearance. They stick out from my bar a little more than expected, but the measurements are available and I knew the size, so that's no biggie. They were very simple to put together, but one of the seats was either cracked and we didn't notice it, or it cracked on its own within the first two weeks without anyone but our 30 lb toddlers using it. I've requested a replacement, so I'm hopeful we don't have further problems. All in all, they're worth the $50 I paid for them and they're great for wide butts!
