first impression is a positive one
I purchased this bidet as a replacement for a much larger, apparently now discontinued Hyundai model. The Hyundai was still working great, however I've done a lot of updates to my bathroom and prefer the smaller profile of this bidet (the Hyundai has a very substantial "control pod" which has always seemed to be overkill for a simple twist knob).Installation was easier this time around. I did try using the plastic T connector first, but it leaked whether I used one of the included rubber washers or not. So I switched to the included metal T connector. A couple twirls of teflon tape as appropriate and no leaks, and no insane tightening required like when installing the Hyundai. The only gripe that I have about it, aesthetically, is that the water supply hose seems like it could be quite a bit more discreet. Oddly, and surely unnecessarily, it's thicker than any other supply hose in my bathroom or kitchen, and its attachment at the far end of the control, pointing straight down, makes it basically impossible to camouflage in any way. I might try to find an L connector to go between the hose and the bidet, which might help. It's just a little incongruous; the bidet is trim and compact yet there is this gleaming, metal, nearly-garden-hose-diameter hose sticking out of the bottom of it. This hose does not match the pictures (they show a skinny white plastic hose, like my Hyundai had)... and note that, perhaps conveniently, neither type of hose is shown sticking out of the bottom of the control paddle in the pictures of the installed bidet. The control paddle is quite tight - such that the whole bidet flexes slightly when you try to start the water flow. It kind of makes me wince a little bit each time, like it might break. Maybe it will loosen up with use?I'll update this review if I encounter any issues. So far though, I'm pleased, and the price was right. I've already used it once, and the water jet is actually better than on the Hyundai's (less needly!), so I believe I've made a step in the right direction.

Updated: Good bidet for the cost, lasted 5 years
We've had this bidet for a few months now. I'm very pleased with it. I'm somewhat fanatical about personal hygiene, and this bidet is a wonderful alternative to wasting lots of toilet paper and wet wipes. It's easier on my body and the environment. Installation went smoothly; the instructions were fairly easy to follow. The bidet does an excellent job--gets you very clean. The reason for my 4-star rating, instead of a 5-star rating, is that the lever can stick a little, so you end up blasting yourself at first and then having to back it off. It's a minor defect. I would certainly buy this again and recommend it to others.Update July 2015: We have owned this for ~5 years, and it has come time to replace it. It's not perfect, but it's been a good product for the price, so leaving it at 4 stars. Here's why.Pros-I consider a product purchased from Amazon that lasts 5 years and costs <$40 to be a good deal.-It does what it's designed to do and does it well.-We moved this three times and it withstood the wear-and-tear well.Cons-We needed some kind of additional part to make it work, and customer service was unresponsive (in 2010) when we attempted to get it from them.-It is difficult to clean. The spray nozzle isn't too bad, but the part that attaches to the toilet gets gunk and hair stuck around it, and not all of the gaps are big enough to get fingers into to easily wipe clean. We will look to a different product to replace this one because of this issue.-It is now leaking. Again, 5 years is not a bad lifespan for something like this, but that it failed is still a negative.

Bidet BB-500 - A Short Review w/o Video
Are you kidding? A video review about the use of a bidet?Sorry, I guess I'm just shy. Besides I don't think that I am that photogenic. But I can tell you that this is an item very well worth the money. The support was excellent when I made a call with my one question. This makes up for he rather poor instruction sheet that comes with the package.Fortunately the system is so simple almost anybody can figure out the hookup intuitively. The company ought to offer a closet valve as well because as long as you will be draining the tank you might as well replace the old one.My biggest problem was with the plastic tubing connector. It was very difficult for me to get the twisting started. I actually had to get help from my much strong son. Maybe the more expensive model has a bronze connector which, I believe, would solve the problem.I bought the cheapest model and I find it totally adequate. It does the trick for me but the more expensive models do have attractive features. If cleanliness is next to godliness this product can make you feel more saintly.

not entirely convinved
I have been using attachable bidets like this one for years now. My old one broke after a move, so I purchased this one as a replacement. Unfortunately, I could not find the one I use to have (BioBidet, BB 50) on amazon, and had to try this one here instead. It has only been attached for a few days and I already miss my old bidet. Reason being:1. My old bidet was terribly easy to install. We didn't need to hire a plumber, it just connected and was ready. For this new bidet I did have to hire a plumber, and he had some trouble with it. He also had to fashion a part to make it work, meaning I spent WAY more tan intended.2. After the new bidet was installed, the plumber warned me that the plastic was thin and brittle and not very sturdy. I should not push on the bidet hard to turn it on or it will snap easily. Ironically, I hard to push somewhat hard to get it to work.3. Its adjust-ability only exists if you are willing to remove the bidet from the toilet, adjust it, and then reinstall it. Since I can't afford to call out the plumber again, I have to adjust the way I sit on the toilet to get the bidet to hit where it needs to hit.All said, I miss my old bidet, and wish this one didn't seem so...flimsy.
