BEST Hair Coloring Product
This is sincerely one of the best hair coloring products I have used. It works well and looks awesome. The amount you put is what it's going to look like, which makes it so much easier to use than other products.

did not satisfy
it did not takevery good to a fed based hair, perhaps I would suggest to first color your hair blond , then apply this product.

It dyed the end of my hair fine but the roots of my hair are GRAY and not like a cute silver but senior citizen gray. Not to mention this product took ALMOST A MONTH to get to my house. I left the dye in for 30 mins DOUBLE the recommended time and it didn't even dye all my hair!!! I have naturally bleach blonde hair like almost white hair. And my hair is unbelievably thin. Not to mention the underneath and both sides are SHAVED also my hair is only shoulder length so I obviously don't have much hair to dye. I bought this product hoping it would be better for my hair rather than splat but IT FRIED THE ENDS OF MY HAIR AND NOW HALF OF MY HAIR IS DIRTY GRAY!!!! I'm completely unsatisfied and I don't like to complain ever I NEVER do but THIS IS NOT OKAY

a true, bluey, purpley lilac color
I received Directions Lilac hair dye two weeks ago. Since the product comes from the UK, I ordered two jars, 88ml each. I have shoulder length hair, and I figured the two jars would last me a good long time. I guess I have no concept of size, because they seemed rather small. If you have long hair or thick hair, I suggest ordering in bulk!My hair was previously bleached platinum blonde, so this review for the product is on already bleached hair. I have no idea what it would do, or if it would even work on virgin hair. My hair grows very fast, is naturally blonde, and thus far, I can't see that it has done anything to the virgin roots.I wanted the pastel look, so I mixed one part of Lilac with about 4 parts conditioner to create the color. I initally slopped all this on my head, let it "cook" for about 3 hours. The result was a pretty, silvery color, just barely a tint of lilac. This was exactly two weeks ago. So the next day, I did it again, using about a 2/5 ratio of dye to conditioner, and kept it on for 5 hours. This worked much better. The end result was still a subtle, silvery, bluey purple, but more vibrant. I took the rest of the jar, and mixed some conditioner in, and put it in the shower to use as a color touch up through the week. The color faded, and went back to a silvery white color, on which I actually got a lot of random compliments. So here I sit, two weeks later, doing the Lilac thing again, this time, having opened the second jar. It seems as though half the jar is sufficient for my hair, when mixed with the conditioner. I'm letting it cook for as long as I can stand it, and so far it's been two hours. I'm sure timing is way different if you are using it full strength, but any tutorials I have seen recommend much longer than the 15 minutes the directions say. It won't hurt your hair if you leave it on longer. All in all, I like the product better than Manic Panic, however, spending $20 some on two jars that took 3-4 weeks to arrive just doesn't seem worth it to me. The shipping time was because the product comes from the UK, and so it was tied up in the mail. THe company actually MAILED it in a really quick time! I really love the color, but because I am impatient, and because there are other, less expensive dyes, I am going to give Punky Color a try. I might be back to this, though. We shall have to see!As far as clean up, because I mix with so much conditioner, I don't use gloves, and there's no staining of my skin. Splatters have stained my sink, but nothing a little bleach couldn't take out. Some of the color will rinse out of your hair in the shower in the first few days, so I try to wash as little as possible, and then with a sulfate free shampoo. And a random tip for those of us that color our eyebrows with pencil or powder: since I have super blonde eyebrows (read: almost white), I HAVE to color mine in. It took me a minute to figure out what eyebrow pencil worked best, and what I decided was an ashy brown color. At least on me, anything that had ANY red in it made me look rabbity and weird. With the ashy brown eyebrows and the lilac hair color,my blue eyes are CRAZY purpley blue :)Hope this helps :D

Great conditioner.. not so great dye
I have very thin hair and the dye didn't take well at all to my hair, and then it washed out almost entirely! I am more than a little bit irritated since I followed the directions to a T and this should not have happened. Maybe this works better on people with a different hair texture. :(

DO NOT BUY
After bleaching my hair completely I applied the dye as per the directions and left it in for 15 minutes as the directions recommend. I rinsed the dye out and there wasn't even slight discoloration. Nothing. So I tried again, this time leaving it in for an hour. Again nothing. Frustrated with the results, I left the dye in overnight and after rinsing the dye out in the morning I noticed a slight purple color, but after only 2 washes not a trace of purple can be seen. This product is an ABSOLOUT DO NOT BUY!
