Place the eye hole end over the blackhead or the loop end over the whitehead. A magnifying mirror and good lighting will help 6. Gently press and the blackhead will pop out through the eye hole. For a whitehead, roll the loop over it to remove it completely. Wash the secretion away or wipe it onto a paper towel. Don't press too hard with the extractor as it will leave marks on your face for a while if you do. Overly aggressive use can distend your capillaries 7. Re-sterilize the extractor with rubbing alcohol, and repeat. Continue the process until you've removed all the blackheads and whiteheads 8. Apply a small amount of astringent to the treated areas. This will ensure the opened pores remain bacteria free. Use an astringent best suited to your skin. If you have oily skin, a slightly stronger one is fine but dry skin should use mild. Apply a few drops of astringent to a cotton ball and gently apply. A slight tingle is normal and redness may occur if you've never used it before Applying makeup after an extraction without first applying astringent will allow unwanted makeup to enter the pores The empty pores will appear larger once blackheads are removed. The astringent will help close them Repeat this process weekly or monthly depending on your skin

Crazy good!
When I ordered this product I was extremely excited because I've always had a problem with blackheads. I have never found a good way to get rid of them and make them stay away. When I received this product and opened it, I was a little hesitant to use it because I was afraid it would hurt. I sat in front of the mirror and tried this product and it did hurt a little bit but it was totally worth it. I can't believe how many blackheads I was able to retrieve using this item. It was rather disgusting. I didn't know that there was such a product like this until now and I wish I would have been using it for years. If you are skeptical, just try it out because I promise you will love it. I have already told others about this product because I was so excited and they have already went online and purchased it. Definitely worth any amount of money. I did receive a discount on this product in exchange for an honest review.

Eh...not super impressed.
So my rating is middle of the road because I don't think this tool is useless, but it definitely doesn't deliver amazing results. Ironically, it's called a blackhead extractor, but it's the whitehead tip that actually works better for both kinds of pimples. I am a picker so this tool does give me a better alternative to popping without picking, without scarring. You do have to push down pretty hard, too, in order to pop the pimple (unless it's on your hard forehead), so it can be kind of painful. The thing is, you're not investing a ton of money so, even if you use it just to avoid using your fingers, then it may be worth it. I did receive a discount in exchange for my honest review.

This comes pretty close. It does what it is supposed to ...
I looked far and wide to find one that resembles what I used to use as a teenager. This comes pretty close. It does what it is supposed to ie taking out blackheads. you have to squeeze quite hard and it can leave scarring if you are not careful. But it does get the job done.
