Unabridged, illustrated, and clear font
I just bought this and have only read 15-20 pages, but want to get this down in case others are bewildered by the many choices of version available and the difficulty I had linking reviews with versions.I'm reviewing the Mobi version. There are many wonderful illustrations that look like they must be the Pyle drawings. It says it is unabridged and it reads as if it were complete. The font is particularly clear. And, so far, the language has a rolling, captivating cadence that reminds me of the Lord of the Rings (although more archaic). So for $0.95 a great buy.

I loved these as a kid
I loved these books as a kid when I was beginning to read independently. I was happy to find they still exist. My kids really enjoy them. Every other page is a picture, so kids are motivated and engaged to keep reading.

Worthy Enough To Read!
I knew Robin Hood has become a famous legend, with him showing up in pop cultures, parodies, films, and of course a Disney animated adaptation. So I thought, why not read the actual book? The book kept me filled with curiosity as to what would happen, and I wanted to see Robin Hood on his adventures. But I will admit a few problems I had. One is that I see more of Robin's adventures than I do with him "robbing the rich to feed the poor"! Another is that two important Robin Hood characters are not really in it-Maid Marian and Prince John! I thought they were important to the story! And it does not say much about King Richard taking back the stolen throne. My last problem is that Robin Hood dies in the end! Did the author really have that happen? So yeah, it was just a bunch of " time goes by" stories, much like " The Jungle Book". However, despite these problems, this book was still definitely worth reading. It's Robin Hood! What more has to be said?

Just like the older version
I was hesitant to get this book because I was unsure of the quality and the many different versions out there. It was just as expected and it took me back to my childhood days reading this book as a kid. Great buy I don't regret it!

Not Howard Pyle
Not Howard Pyles' illustrations. Which is super weird.
