I was looking for an oversized, classy, elegant outdoor mat under $100. I picked this outdoor mat because it was double bordered or double-framed, it's coir, huge and oversized, and seemed thick. It wasn't one of those "talking" mats (hi/welcome/hello/go away/personalized initials) which I think cheapens the look of the house. Sure, there are other similar mats around, but they're all way over $100, and I'm just not at that point where I want to spend more than that right now.The mat arrived, and I could not be more happier with my purchase! The pictures really don't do this outdoor mat justice. The mat is so thick (maybe an inch?). It is plush. It's made from coir, so of course it had loose coir when I pulled it out of the box. I vacuumed it before putting it outside, and it looks soooo good. There is no rubber backing to it so it lets the air through.I'll definitely say, bigger is better! Get the biggest one for your space! I had your standard smaller coir welcome mat before, and the difference between that and my new 3x5 mat is amazing. It changes the whole look of our front door area. The whole area looks...bigger. Now onto finding a huge, oversized flower pot to complete the look!

We were hesitant to purchase these via the internet. Would they be too thin? Too loosely woven? Shed too easily? No No & No!! These are the best quality Coco Coir mats I have ever seen. They would easily sell for double the price on other websites, or in those home catalogs we are all so familiar with. Don't be fooled by imitations. This is the one you want!!

I purchased this product three weeks ago and am still impressed. It arrived folded in the box, but it did not have any effect on the product. It is very heavy and thick, which makes a great first impression and statement in front of the door.My only complaint is that after using it now for a few weeks, the bristles are starting to shed.. but I think that is to be expected with the usual ware of a Doormat.I would buy again!

I just received mine today so I can't comment on its durability, but right out of the box I was pleased. It's really nice looking and will enhance the look of my front entry. I didn't have shedding at all as some reviews have stated. I would recommend this mat!

Prob not keeping it. It looks really nice! So aesthetically it’s an A+. However as others have said, it is very thick. This makes it feel like a high quality item but in my experience it’s a tripping hazard. The dark line around the edge and the fact that it’s squared off not graded will absolutely cause some people to trip. If you have kids coming through your front door, expect some of them to trip.The thickness will also make this thing a sponge. And it’s also not something you want to step on barefoot.

Love this doormat! It is HUGE! I have double doors and it's always been an issue finding mats wide enough but this mat is also very deep. It's a full 12 inches deeper than my previous doormats which was a concern when I ordered it. Now I love the larger size and I think it gives a grander feel to my front porch. It does shed a lot but I knew that going in from reading other reviews and past experience with this type of doormat (its the nature of the material).
