The Very Lazy Lion Hardcover – January 1, 2004

My grandchildren love this book so this one was to replace the one that they have enjoyed over the years!

We have this and around 9 more Jack Tickle Pop Up books. They are all amazingly cute! All are very bright & colorful and the rhymes are adorable. The book is printed on a thicker card stock which makes it slightly more durable than regular books (don't get me wrong, it's no board book and is still susceptible to damage from young kids... so supervised reading is still a must to keep them in good shape). Highly recommend!!!

I read this book to my twin grandsons every week, but our current book has seen better days and wanted a replacement. It’s cute, but This newer edition has far less pages/characters. Missing 3 from previous editions. I returned it.

Elephant, hipo and snake pop Ups don't come in this edition

I think this book is great. My son is two and we have been reading it for at least six months EVERY night before bed. It's the only book he wants to read and he will pick it off a shelf of 50 others. He has learned the animal sounds as we go through the pages and since they pop out he thinks it's great. He always has to kiss the elephant when we get to him and it's the cutest thing. The animals are not mean looking and yes it says that underneath the monkeys hair she's just like you and me. Who cares! Don't read that page if it bothers you because the rest is so cute.

This is the cutest book. My baby is only 2 months old and he goes nuts when we read it to him. Now we buy this for all the babies on the way that we know. The Very Happy Hen is also very cute but we love this one more.

I make it a point to never by used books for my kids. I'm just weird about this and for whatever reason I somehow missed that this book was not only used but also not in very good shape. There are very clear writing marks all over the cover and with it being a pop-up book some of the pop-ups were ripped off. Also, the reason I even got this book is because we already had one copy, but it was in poor shape so I wanted to get a better copy because the book is so good. Oddly enough the words in this new book are different than the one I already own. That was certainly a letdown.

Sadly it is very disappointing if compared to the original pop-up version, but this one is already well loved by the children I care for. A book is a HIT it a 2 year old picks it off of the bookshelf and brings it to me to read. This book had the added bonus of a "rarrr" attached when offering it to be read.

Quite short, but most pop-up books are. The story is very sweet and the pop-ups are excellent. Our little daughter loves it. The farm book is also very good.

Book is in terrible condition. Missing 2 pages and ripped on every other page. What a disappointment. Will be requesting my money back.

Great book to introduce stories and animals to your children. However you must be very careful if your wee one still under 24months old since they will rip the pop up animals from the book

My two year old loves this book and it ends with the monkey going to sleep, so we have used it as a bedtime story. He has been ok with the story, however I imagine that some kids may find being eaten by a lion or hippo quite scary (at bedtime anyway). Otherwise, great quality, and Ill be buying more of this series.
