Check the Blue Tokai website for full details before selecting the blend
I bought this based on the description on Amazon as I wanted a medium dark roast without too much sweetness. Bought the wrong grind for my coffee maker (Preethi Dripcafe - electric South Indian filter coffee maker so brews slowly, ~10 to 15 minutes), should have got the Turkish rather than the Aeropress. So the first time I made it, it came out bitter and unpleasant. Then I further ground it to a finer powder. Much better, but it was way more acidic than I like (which gives it the sour taste another reviewer has described). The descriptors used on Amazon don’t give you a good idea of the level of acidity of this particular blend, but when I checked the official website, it says it’s medium acidity. So that explains it. Lesson learned, check the website for all details including the recommended brewing style. If only they delivered to my pincode, I would’ve got a sampler instead of depending on Amazon. Not great value for money if you’re just experimenting. I’ll go back to my trusty old local coffee powder now.

Love the flavour
I'm not a coffee snob. Even I had no trouble appreciating the delicious smell and flavour of this coffee. Loved it!

Love the taste. Ordered my second batch but…
I really love this coffee. You can taste the nutty flavour! It smells great. I make it in a moka cup and I think it is very well suited for it.The first time I ordered it, it arrived about 5 days after the roasting date. I can’t really complain. I live far away. But, this time it arrived late. It took 12 days from the labelled roasting date to arrive. I am sure this is an issue on part of Amazon and not too much on Blue Tokai’s part..it does affect the quality of the coffee.. I felt bad returning old coffee to the seller so I kept the second batch anyway.. but just be cautious of the delivery time if you place an order yourself

Among the best homegrown beans I've tried
I thoroughly enjoyed my batch of Baarbara Estate. A medium to strong brew that tasted faintly of molasses. Definitely worth repeating. Unfortunately, I believe this was a semi-limited run. But I'll always have an eye out for it.

Weird sour type taste that stays
It has a sour kind of flavour that stays with you ... I usually drink Starbucks house blend and that's medium roast. So I had thought this will be similar in intensity. It's quite light and I could have handled that but I couldn't handle the sour taste. Tried twice.I like the packaging and branding. After going through their other products, I am realising their roasting could possibly be the reason for sour taste. This makes me unwilling to try any other blue tokai product.

Not great Aftertaste and espresso coffee
I tried the " Gungegiri Estate" before this and liked it a whole lot. Its got great light roast with beautiful undertones. Fresh ground makes the best coffee. This however was a great disappointment. Not my cup of coffee. Might suit some coffee lovers where aftertaste is not a priority. Cheers to all the options though!!P.S i also ordered "Koinonia Coffee Roasters Moganad Estate Arabica " and found that to be an excellent medium roast. The aftertaste is splendid.
