Pardon the awful contrasting color scheme in my picture, but the back plate itself looks great!Installation is a matter of being extremely careful with keeping the very tiny screws of the switch organized. I used the provided plastic case as the hold for all the tiny screws and just arranged them as I was taking the backplate off to orient to where I had removed the screw. This did not come with any instructions, but I feel like it is straightforward enough to not need them. All in all, I think it took about 15-20 minutes to complete.I didn't end up using their screws provided, I opted for using the original switch screws. But it does come with all the little screws. The only thing it doesn't come with that you need to keep from the original back plate is the cartridge flap assembly and the internal kick stand pieces. It comes with the kick stand, just not the pieces to hold it too the case.It also comes with a awesome little screw driver set for small phillips and tri-wing. This is perhaps the only thing I think could be improved is that the screwdriver was not magnetic. Because those little screws are extremely small, so you have be extremely careful not to drop them. I found that holding the screwdriver vertically pointed upward and then bringing the switch to the screw was the least risky way to guide the screw to the hole. This way you are not tilting it for the screw to drop, and you are not able to drop the screw in the switch itself.One nice feature about this is that aside from looking absolutely awesome, it has a nice softness to it. Hard to explain, it's not like completely hard plastic feeling, and it's not squishy rubber feeling, it just has a very slight smooth rubber coating. It feels nice though.

I got a pack with the plates for the dock and switch, and covers for the joycons. I initially purchased this to replace my kickstand which had broken off, this kit does not come with a replacement spring/metal retainer for the kickstand so i had to order that separately and wasn't aware that was a thing until i was assembling everything. The installation for both of the plates/covers wasn't too bad but the joycons (right one especially) was pretty difficult. I say this with a background in fine pitch SMT electronics repair. My ZR trigger no longer works, currently dealing with customer service on a resolution. (EDIT: the issue was resolved, customer service was very prompt and helpful. The issue was a tiny flex cable was re-inserted upside down, but it was installed according to the installation video) The kits do come with plenty of replacement hardware (highly recommend replacing the Y3 screws with the included regular philips head screws) as well as screwdrivers. The addition of small tweezers would have been nice but i know how expensive they can be. It all looks very nice with a grey-border screen protector.

I'm glad I picked this backplate. It looks great, fits perfectly, and they have excellent installation videos for all their products from what can tell.I watched the video for this backplate and was able to follow it without issues.

I love this product. The design appeals to my sensibilities and so far it's been very durable. So here is the rundown.Pros:-Fun designs-Perfect fit for the switch-Comes with 2 sets of replacement screws-As mentioned in every other review, it feels soft.Cons:-The tools provided are liable to strip every screw that you own. Use your own. Kits of diy replacement joycon joysticks tend to have good tools. If you are going to install this case then you have the skill to replace your drifting joycon joysticks anyways so you might as well do both at the same time.-No clear instructions. Look up a chart of the screws that you need to remove before attacking your console. You need to remove the four backplate screws. All screws on the top and bottom edges of the console as well as the middle screws on the joycon rails to remove your backplate without leaving broken plastic bits stuck in your console.-There is a kickstand for table top mode with the matching design; however, you will need to use the metal clip and socket from your old backplate and kickstand because this kit does not provide those two parts.The con's look a bit long but honestly, the pro's far outweigh them; they mostly arise from the little details of installation that aren't an issue at all for for anyone that understands how things are held together. If you are like me, then you have an original model switch and the backplate has begun to crack. If you're going to replace it then you might as well get a really nice backplate while you're at it.

All of the required tools were provided, and with the help of YouTube it was super quick. Even if you haven't tried to do something like this before, there aren't a whole lot of steps to this project. I love the new look of my switch. I also replaced the front of my docking station which was also super easy, and my joy-cons which were a but trickier but still not difficult. I chose the classic NES, but they have a skin for anyones tastes.

I bought this without realizing you have to move certain pieces over. Part of why I chose this one was the included kickstand since I was missing mine. Little did I realize you need the metal piece from the factory one to move over.

He de decir que el diseño se ve incluso mejor en persona que en fotos, si deseas darle una nueva vida a tu Switch original, por cierto quizá los destornilladores que trae incluidos pueden no funcionar y recomiendo comprar otros aparte para no barrer los tornillos de la Switch

Tenho duas switchs, sendo uma original, e a mais usada a oled.Esta presentada no vídeo, com o produto instalado, está sempre na docka para jogar na televisão, sendo o modelo original.Estava a sobreaquecer, e um dia vi cair um resíduo de lixo na grelha, de onde sai o ar.Aproveitei que ia meter uma nova pasta térmica e limpar poeiras/ lixo, para a tornar em algo mais divertido, sendo-a faz mais de 5 anos, não fazendo sentido estar apenas arrumada.Textura suave, provável arranhar quando meter na dock, mas essa também pretendo fazer um mod da que veio da switch original, estando apenas arrumada.Noto ainda a aquecer, mas pode ser por má aplicação de pasta térmica, no qual não acredito, ou de não trocar a que está em contacto diretamente com o chip, sendo um projeto um bocado suicida.Possível também notar mais quente, pelo plástico ser de qualidade inferior em comparação à parte traseira da original.Ou ter que dar umas horas/ dias para a artic silver 5 assentar.Pelo que sei, sempre aqueceu mais, em comparação com oled.Primeira vez que faço isto numa handheld. Apenas restaurei uma ps3.As chaves são apenas um bónus, não são o produto final, dificultando a vida por falta de magnetização e nada ou pouco as usei. Tenho melhores.Também agradeço os parafusos, que não precisei. Mas acredito que só eles valham pelo menos metade do preço do produto, guardando-os, caso alguns fiquem moídos ou ferrugentos.Resumo: Para mim, perfeito!PS: Para quem usa a kickstand, esta parece muito mais presa! duvido que algum dia caia, em comparação com a original, não sei explicar a ciência de como.

The paint on the plate was chipped right by the kickstand. Other then that, it was near perfect. The tools provided weren't bad, even though a lot of tutorials did say they would be. Overall, good product.
