Music and Movement in the Classroom Grades 1-2 Paperback – March 1, 2000

This is one of our favorite CDs!! We use this everyday in our preschool classroom and on rainy days in the gym.There are so many songs for learning skills and moving. We especially like Listen and Move - the children listen to music and move as the voice instructs- walk, run, gallop, tiptoe. There is a second song that follows that is just the music and then a quiet song plays to help the children come back to a calm place.

The songs on these CDs are not new songs. They've gathered songs from children's music albums of the past. Which I didn't realize before I bought it. Therefore, I already had a lot of the songs, but it's nice to have them all together. I did wish there were more newer sounding songs as well as more dance songs.Over all, it was a good buy, but didn't fill all the needs I had for my preschool music time.

Many great songs and activities on this CD/book combo. Often I buy a CD for use in my primary music classes and only use a couple songs, BUT with this resource, I can already see using many of the songs. Just arrived and I already used the Bean Bag song and 'Across the Bridge' w/beanbags balanced (my alteration). Kids had a lot of fun. Looking forward to continued use of other songs. This is a very good purchase that you'll be happy with and will get well used.

This is one of the best all around music and movement cds for pre-schoolers. This is my 3rd copy. I keep loaning my copy out and it gets scratched from so much use, so I got a new one that I am not going to share!

We use this to start our reading corner every Saturday morning...for ages 4-7 and they love it. They know all the movements now and it is great to watch.

Book and CD's look to be in good condition, but one of the CD's already skips on about the second time I used it. Used it in a brand new CD player, so it is not the player. The packet looked like it had never been open, so not sure why it skips. Received in a timely manner.

This book and the accompanying CD's provide many opportunities for fun in the early childhood classroom. I would recommend this book for anyone planningKindergarten classroom activities.

Kids loved it

I bought this book because of recommendations online.I like it because the singers on the CD are english. It brings a different type of music in to the setting and has all the DM's laid out with great actions to go with each song.

クラスでわいわいやると楽しい曲が37曲。曲をどう使うか、使って何を習得するかが書いてあるので、その通りにすれば良く、先生楽チンのはずです。（笑）もちろん、歌のあるものは歌詞が全部載っています。CDは２枚組み。本の表紙のプラスティックの部分に無造作に入っています。私のサークルで大人気なのは1から20まで数える歌。２歳の子供達があっという間に20まで言えるようになり、音楽って偉大だなと思います。
