I have this installed in my Ford Fusion. the metal is very strudy and strong. the camera itself works well.I need to look at other monitors to find one that'll mesh with this camera better. I'm currently using the Esky 4.3" that has a fold down screen.While this setup works, it's a bit hard to see. if sunlight is behind you, it's very difficult to see what's going on. But you can definetly be able to backup with no problems.Installation was easy and even at night it looks very good.My beef, which isn't to severe.. I got my dremel out and with a cutoff wheel i notched a "V" where the wire would protrude so I wouldn't be putting pressure on the wire when I fastene down the plate and frame.I didn't want to drill a hole in the trunk lid for this where the "V" notch wouldn't be needed. I put another small "V" notch in the plastic trim piece and the wire is barely noticable.Personally if they cut a small dimple at the top of the frame, it'd be super nice & easier!

This is my first customer review, of anything! Product is built very well. All metal construction, no plastic. Fits license plate perfectly. Does not cover registration sticker. I am set up to have the camera on full time. Use a separate monitor, mounted to the windshield. Like seeing whats behind me at all times.The video quality is good. Under ideal conditions, (not too bright, not too dark, etc.) the camera looks great.The only drawback is the daytime, night vision "wash out". This problem is not specific to this camera. I have another camera that produces the same condition. These cameras do not have a sensor, to turn the night vision LEDs off, during the day. This causes my "wash out" effect. Foliage, grass, trees, shrubs look brown. Colors on buildings, cars, etc., are fine. Only foliage is effected.Would recommend this product.

This is a very good camera for the price! The install was pretty easy and straightforward since I was putting in a touchscreen head unit at the same time, and the picture is better than I expected. It handles low/no light situations well, and also handles sun fine as long as it is not directly facing the sun. When that happens it tends to wash out, but that is very reasonable for a camera at this price point. I couldn't give it a 5 because it lacked audible proximity beeps which I'm now realizing that I miss badly.The license plate frame is solid metal construction and looks very nice. Overall I highly recommend this to anyone looking to add a budget minded backup camera to their vehicle.

I have had the camera installed for a little over a week now. It is very study and well made. I like the fact that the wires can be easily concealed behind the tag. I have washed my vehicle twice and had a couple "hard rains" in my area. NO ISSUES WITH WATER!!! The picture quality is very clear and crisp. The infrared does a very good job for night vision. I have the camera installed on a Nissan Titan. I had to tilt the camera down to correct the guidelines. Installation is straight forward. Great Buy!!!

I just installed the backup camera this weekend. Install was pretty straightforward, on a 2015 Nissan Frontier. The license plate frame is very high quality, made from thick metal. The camera quality is decent. I didn't realize that it came with the backup green/yellow/red guidelines...that was a nice plus!

Made this purchase to compliment the BOSS radio in my car and I can say it was the best decision! Nice wide viewing angle, clear and crisp picture and I love this is a whole frame rather than just a camera that attaches to your plate. On top of that, this is a nice high quality metal construction and the look is very high end and professional.

I have two of these. One on my 1993 Miata and the other on my travel trailer that I two with my Jeep. They work great. I installed new radios with viewing screens and they are on all the time. Really helps with the blind spots on both. I can back up now and run down the road and see.

What I like about the camera is that it looks like it should be there. Many of the other cameras look like an after thought. The quality of the picture is just as good as my factory camera on my other car. The price of the unit is great for the quality of the product.
