it says in the listing this is 70% human and 30% animal hair, but there's no way there's much if any human hair at all. i tested it with a curling wand first on about 370 degrees and although it did curl, some pieces did singe and there was a bit of a burnt smell. then i snipped of a bit of hair and tested some bleach on it. i used high quality bleach and 30 volume developer, left it on (in foils) for an hour and it did absolutely nothing. if there was any human hair those strands would have at least lightened. so this mannequin would be great for cutting (i'd advise doing it dry since it has a weird texture wet and takes a long time to dry), braiding and non-heat styling. but definitely avoid heat (or just high heat) and anything chemical.

loved the mannequin head very soft hair but thick enough to say its an African American head. I would say the hair is like it has a relaxer

Arrived quickly, sheds alot, I assumed because I specifically picked a AA mannequin the hair would be more kinky/coarse hair, the hair is more straight so I have to add product to make the hair more stiff for practicing cornrows and braids.... overall the mannequin was a pretty good buy for me.

I ordered these for practicing techniques on. The quality and length of hair is perfect. I was a little worried that the hair would be dry or brittle and that was not the case. The stand that came with it was also well made and easy to assemble and use. I will definitely keep these in mind for future needs.

This is the third product like this we have bought. This was a gift for my niece, to learn different style braids with. It works wonders, sorry xbox.

Very nice well worth the money .hair is very easy to work on for learning how to brade. The clamp to hold it to the table is not that durable but the quality of the hair and the fullness and the length of the hair make up for it.

The product didn’t exactly meet my expectations as it was really short layered. So braiding isn’t really doable because it wasn’t one length like it shows in the picture.

The head came in a pretty box, nicely packaged.I followed the instructions for the wash and it still shed quite a bit.The hair feels a little like soft braiding hair, so it isn’t ideal for what i bought it to try out. Parting and braiding wasnt a problem, I’m just not sure if I’ll keep it to practice on. At this point it seems like something I’ll keep so my daughter can play with.It sheds SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BADLY GUYS. So so badly.
