SamsonArbor-Plex 12-Strand 1/2" Climbing Rope 120'

I bought this rope because for many years I climbed with a bull rope and that sucks.The arbor plex is smooth and tying a climbers hitch is a smooth operation,same as bowlines and half hitches.Less struggle and more climbing.

I ordered this rope to use to assist in pulling down a tree when cut and to lower branches based on reviews that this rope and mfg. was the best one to use for this purpose. It is sold via Forestry Suppliers, and when I received it, I noticed that the ends were not finished, so I figured it came off a roll. I decided to measure it and found that instead of 120', it was only 116' 8", 3'4" short. I called Forestry Suppliers Customer Service on 11/21 and the gentleman I talked to was great and said he would go to the warehouse and check some of the other packages to see if they measured 120'. I called them back on 11/22, and was told that of all the packages that were checked, they were all short. They were going to call the mfg., Samson Ropes and try and find out what was happening. Great customer service = happy customer. I will order again from Forestry Suppliers. To make up for the shortened rope, as when I order something, no matter what it is, I expect to receive what I ordered, Forestry Supplier refunded my shipping which more that makes up for the shortened rope. It is a pleasure to deal with companies that have great customer service and customer service staff who are willing to take that extra step to insure customer satisfaction.Skip W.

I used this for a rigging rope attached to a 4 ton hand wench. Worked great! Very sturdy and the 75' tall ash tree backleaning toward my house fell safely in the yard. It has a little stretch in it (I think it's supposed to be there, since this is for climbing) but it still worked great for a tie off rope.

To be certified, you must use the propper equipment. This rope is certified and the best buy I could find anywhere on the Internet.Need ordinary rope? This is too expensive.Cutting trees for a living? - you know the drill.

WOW Just received my 1/2" rope and I am very impressed! Construction appears to very solid and feels very good to the hand!!

This particular rope was a good value for the price. At first it seemed more slippery than expected, but with use it is working well.

Excellent arborist rope for tree-climbing, which needs a different sort of rope from rock-climbing. Good price.
