Top quality tea in no nonsense packaging
I have become a bit obsessed with tea recently and really appreciate the nuances of the various blends. I still enjoy a good old cuppa of builder's tea but, I the weekend, I like to sample the delights of the finest teas known to humanity (as Withnail would say if he drank tea rather than '53 Margaux). T2 have a good selection of funkily packaged loose teas and (shock horror) tea bags and I have enjoyed these but wanted to take it one stage further. I live by a Betty's Tea room that does a great selection of specialist teas and of all the teas I have sampled, it seems to me, that Ceylonese (Sri Lankan) Orange Pekoe tea is the best tea around. My next task was to source a supplier who had good quality gear at a reasonable price and I came across this little beauty from Tea - Direct. I was a bit skeptical at first, if nothing other than the price seems ridiculously low for what is, supposedly, and I agree with this, the best tea know to humanity. I was prepared to be wrong but when this arrived I knew than I have found the elixir of loose leaf tea which is the finest Ceylon Orange Pekoe at a very sensible price.Tea Direct will not win any prizes for the packaging of this product and the simple jiffy bag with cheaply printed label belies the quality of what is contained within. In fact the bag is a bit annoying as it has one of those plastic zips that you are supposed to be able to close to keep the tea fresh, and it does not really work very well, but that is beside the point. This is an outrageously good tea and a ridiculously low price in stupendously poor packaging.

Delicious pekoe tea - a great start to the day
This is my first two cups of the day and is just perfect for my taste, since I first tried this in a Sri Lankan tea plantation
