Moebius model 1:25 Scale 1971 Ford Ranger Pickup Truck Model Kit Vehicle

My model kit arrived on time and in great shape, which is always a worry when ordering a plastic model kit. Price was better than other places. Happy with my purchase

I've been building models for decades and must say that Moebius models is doing a fine job of filling in gaps of missing model car/truck subjects. This kit is very nice and I do highly recommend it. One thing I noticed was that the side trim that comes as separate pieces appears too big and bulky. I chose to leave it off and lay down a small strip of BMF in it's place and looks better IMHO. The only thing I would change about this kit is to offer a dual exhaust system. Other than that, it's a very well executed kit. Get one, you won't regret it. BTW: Moebius tends to use too much mold release on their kits so I highly recommend soaking all parts trees in degreaser (Dawn dish soap works well) and scrub them down with an old toothbrush before painting. If not, the paint will fish-eye badly.

I have been building model cars for most of my life from pretty much all of the model companies. Moebius Models rate at the top of the list for the quality of all the pieces, but also for the pictures on the package that accurately show the finished product. The instruction manuals are also top notch with clear, easy to follow steps in the text and clear images of the pieces and how they are to be fitted together. The instruction manual also clearly shows the decals and where they are to be placed if you wish to build an accurate replica. Also shown are all of the stock colors and paint schemes that were available in if you are interested in building an accurate replica of the vehicle.

Nice model. Clean molding, very limited flash, and not flimsy like like most model cars.

This 1971 Ford Ranger is a really detailed, nicely molded kit. Moebius Models attention to details is second to none. Now for the caveat. My kit went together great until finishing the motor and chassis assembly. It was then I discovered that the frame (piece #137) was slightly warped. You had to look really closely, but it was definitely warped. However, I finished the model and it still looks great, so I knocked off 1 star. Purchasers might want to check the frame before starting (like I did).
