These and the 1490 series non-insulated gloves are the best work gloves I've ever used, and I use them hard!
Some of the best gloves I've ever used. They get beat up, but that's because I USE THE HECK out of them. My primary use is for handling firewood. I heat a 2500 sq ft home exclusively with wood which I process, stack, and feed myself, and these are great gloves for the job. In addition to this primary task, these are and their non-insulated sibling are the only ones I have so they are used for other tasks like lawn care, gardening, cleaning, furniture moving, sorting and moving scrap metal and refuse, home repairs and improvements (ALL of which I do myself), and many other tasks in my very active life. The leather is very pliable and quite durable despite my heavy use and I highly recommend these for winter and the 1490(S/M/L/XL) for summer use. I usually get a season out of a pair, and then I'll buy a new pair and use the old ones as beaters for wet/muddy work until they have too many holes in them. The 1490 was originally suggested to me by a rep from Airgas who was also handling large amounts of cordwood, and I found the 1495 on Amazon when I was looking for insulated winter work gloves.

I do outdoor and indoor body weight exercises like fingertip and knuckle push-ups
Take a licking and keep on ticking.I use these for training. I do outdoor and indoor body weight exercises like fingertip and knuckle push-ups, pull-ups and burpees. They provide excellent cushioning on hard floors and on the ground, which is what I wanted. I also like the fact that the velcro fastener is on the BACK of the glove which prevents the gloves from getting full of dirt and keeps them securely fastened to my hands when I do my routines. Highly recommend.PS I used to use Mechanix gloves but shied away from them this time because all of them have Velcro glove fasteners on the PALM side of the hand and consequently they get jacked up with dirt after a while.

Well made, warm and tough.
These seem to be a well made pair of gloves. Goatskin has held up better than any other hides I've tried.Time will tell if I can get a full season of bucking firewood out of them. I also bought the uninsulated version but they have yet to be put to the test. I can wear through the thumbs and palms of a cowhide glove in 2 days. These gloves held up well for the last month of winter.Fit is true to size. I like these gloves and highly recommend them

Great gloves
Very warm and durable. Flexible in cold temperatures. As a woman I have small hands and the mediums are doable. Until they make a small or woman's gloves. lol. Highly recommend...

Excellent winter work gloves
Great fit, good dexterity, and very warm. I am an electrician and work with my hands all day. These gloves keep my hands warm in the coldest temps and are tough enough to get the job done. On the occasions I need to remove the glove to do the job my hands warm back up very quickly in these gloves. If they were waterproof I would give them 5 stars.
