Even non diabetics can benefit from this.
This is a great book for those struggling with managing diabetes and eating flavorful foods. The general assumption is diabetes and delicious do not go together, wrong! This books shows wonderful recipes with nutritional info and portion control so you cant really mess anything up, its super simple and super tastey. Some items may be harder to find than others like almond flour and yes, more expensive but when it comes to your health do you want to skimp? This book teaches you all about diabetes and how to re-think what you know and what you hear. It has tons of great information that will help you not only cooking but generally in life too. You can tell the author put in a lot of thought and care. The recipes themselves are a variety of ethnicities, flavors and textures that are sure to please. They are healthy a d easy to make, some are ingrediant heavy or spice heavy but once you buy a bottle of paprika you will have it for a while since you really do not use much at a time. I really liked the descriptions and instructions, they were clear and consice. I only wish there were more pictures so i can really get a feel for what i am cooking. Besides that this was a fantastic book to use and i cant wait to make more things!Note - i have recieved this item in exchange for an honest review.

Helpful healthy Diabetic cooking
I'm always looking for new healthy new recipes to try and The Diabetic Cookbook for Two by Jennifer Koslo, RD provided just that. The most helpful thing that I found about this book is it not only provides low-carb recipes for those striving for a diabetic friendly diet, but it also takes in consideration those that share meals with them. The objective is to educate and make the struggle of diabetic living more manageable through tips and meal plans as well as inspire flavorful variations of some of your favorite go to foods such as Mock Mac and Cheese and Lazy Turkey Potpie. The first two chapters cover helpful tips for creating efficient and healthy cooking habits as well as understanding and managing the types of diabetes. The rest of the chapters split up the 125 recipes into sections such as Breakfast Bonanza and Soups & Stews including cook times and substitution tips. Some of my favorite sections are the Comfort Classics that include alternatives to pasta and nachos which are weaknesses of mine and Sides & Staples which provide recipes for Barbecue, Teriyaki and Ketchup sauces. It is obvious that care has been taken in explaining the ingredients involved in creating these meals and I would recommend this book as a guide to those who themselves or cook for someone diagnosed with diabetes.*I received this in exchange for a fair and honest review

The recipes in this book take your favorite foods and make them a little healthier so you can still eat what you love. There are great diabetes management tips in this book. The meals are flexible and practical which is important in any diet plan. There are great meal planning tools and shopping lists to help make life easier. Having the whole week laid out for you when it comes to meals takes all the guesswork out of your choices. It also helps to make sure you make good choices. Your favorite recipes are in this book with a healthy twist so you can still enjoy. There are so many delicious recipes you will not feel deprived when it comes time to eat. I like that the recipes are built for two and if you need to feed more just double your ingredients and your all set. You get a lot of great tips, recipes and planning tools with this cookbook. I highly recommend it to anyone needing to make some diet changes. I received this book for free to review but my opinions are my own.

Great Diabetic Cookbook filled with delicious recipes
I loved this Diabetic Cookbook for two. I found it very informative especially for someone who has just found out they have diabetes. Whether you are type 1 diabetic or type 2 diabetic one of the major changes you will have to do is change the way you eat. Many people think that because you have diabetes you have to stop eating good, that is not the case. This book has many delicious recipes that will leave you feeling full and not feeling like you have to eat anything that tastes disgusting.I have several family members who are diabetic and picky children so getting dinner that everyone could enjoy could sometimes be quite tricky. One of my favorite meals in this book that my children liked as well as my diabetic family members was the Chicken Parmesan. The prep time only takes 30 minutes and the cook time was about an hour which was perfect for my busy schedule. Another great recipe to check out is the Lemon-Herb chicken. The lemon-herb chicken was also another winning meal in my house. The kids had no idea that they were eating a healthy meal and my aunt and uncle were able to enjoy the meal without having to substitute any of the meal or have to go and make their own meal. The conversion table at the back of the book is very helpful too. I was provided this book for review purposes.

Not really any good. I don't think it is the book - I think perhaps I am better buying cookbooks than downloading them on kindle. I find the receipes become hard to follow on the kindle format
