Pathfinder Absalom, City of Lost Omens (P2)

I've only had a chance to look through the book a little, but it seems to be exactly what I was looking for. High quality, both in construction and content. A detailed look at a fantasy city with plenty of plot ideas to mine to create scenarios. Well done!

Got this in the mail today and noticed the spine was ripped.

After the delays, we've finally got the books in our hands! I've been running campaigns that have spent a significant amount of time in Absalom, and while I did my best to fill in the blanks, it left much to be desired. Despite having created chapters and chapters of my own lore, I am more than happy to throw it out the window to integrate the city as envisioned in this book.It isn't easy to stitch together the people and places from all released adventure paths, but this book finally brings it all together. With well over 300 pages of history, people, factions, locations and maps, this book helps brings to life the great city of Absalom. The massive poster of the city at the back is the cherry on top.

The first copy received was scuffed and missing the map. Was replaced within two days and the new one is in perfect condition.

I like that it expands the lore and the setting as a whole. A ton of information for game masters and players.

Every part of the city described in details. Not that interesting.

So etwas wie dieses Quellenbuch gibt es im D&D/Pathfinder-Kosomos ganz selten. Ein sehr liebevoll und dicht ausgearbeiteter Hintergrund. Ich habe noch nicht alles gelesen. Aber wer seine Gruppe in Absalom Abenteuer erleben lassen will, wird davon profitieren, wenn die Spieler auch mal die ausgetretenen (Abenteuer-)Pfade verlassen. Golarion wirkte bislang oft etwas hölzern, zu sehr kitchensink, zu wenig sinnige Zusammenhänge innerhalb der Spielwelt. Dieses Buch ist definitiv ein Schritt - nein, mehrere Schritte - in die richtige Richtung.
