I bought these for my son's social skills group. I thought this was be a good cool down activity after stressful times or meltdowns. These are the same classic Kaleidescopes that everyone has played with, but with an updated look. The graphics on the outside are adorable, but so detailed that they add to the sensory experience. I also appreciate that they are cardboard based instead of metal or hard plastic. This makes them appropriate for little ones with special needs who tend to drop things.

They aren't bad. I got these to put in gift bags for foster children. Like another reviewer said, the wrappers on the outside of the kaleidoscopes are a little odd. The Sesame Street viewer is ok for a 3 year old... Might have a hard time finding an owner for that one. Another one has a space theme that was mostly ok, except for a rather sexy looking astronaut. I got 3 circus ones, but they seem the most gender neutral, so I'm fine with that.My other complaint is that there aren't many beads in the viewer, so the image has a lot of white or dead space with a small spot of color. They feel pretty sturdy. I don't think they'll crush if they are stepped on. It wouldn't take much strength to pull them apart, but they are cardboard, not tin. For the most part, I'm happy with them.

These go to my great grand children for Christmas. As a senior citizen on a small fixed income these make it possible to get a little something for my great grands. As a child I loved these and their beautiful patterns. I’m sure the great grands will love them also.

These were larger than expected and fun to play with. The only thing I didn't personally care for was the designs on the paper that covered them. They were very odd and looked so babyish that older children who might still enjoy the toy would tend to reject it.

My grandchildren ( 7yrs & 3yrs old) love these. Each have their own set of six so no fighting over who gets to play with it. They love to take a couple along on road trips to pass the time. I’ve seen some reviews about how quickly the kaleidoscope broke apart but ours are still as good as the day they were opened on Christmas. Very happy with my purchase.

I always loved getting these for Christmas. Since I have 13 grandchildren it was awesome to be able to get 12 since 2 grandchildren are 18. Not impressed the view is tiny hard to see. Not a full picture if the would fix that these wouldn't be so bad but its like looking at a tictack but smaller. Not worth my time to send them back

Bought for children's Christmas gifts for ministry- was happy with 11 out of 12 of them. One was detached from the tube and while still spinnable, was not fixable with glue. I did not want to return the entire order for the one, so was my loss. Would love to see some provision for returning a partial order when only part of it is defective- but Amazon does not seem to offer that remedy. This is the second time I have had this problem with an order- on the first, I had already gifted part of the products by the time I discovered the defects in the rest- again, my loss, since Amazon does not offer a remedy for part of a product being defective unless you return the entire order.

I loved the pattern. Very colorful. The outside is geared for smaller ones. The inside is for all as ages. I'm in my 60's and looked at all of them a few times. You do get at least 4 different patterns. Ordered for occ shoeboxes. Probably will get more.
