Great for dry snacks (no grapes) and super easy for kids to use
This is a fabulous snack keeper for dry snacks like crackers, cheerios and popcorn. The top is made from a stretchy fabric that reminds me a little of swimsuit material. The overlapping sides keep the snacks in when you toddler throws the cup across the room (the universal signal for "I'm all done"). And, because the top is a screw on lid, it won't pop off, no matter the abuse. It is also very easy for the kids to get snacks out of the cup. I have a 1, 3 and 5 year old and none of them have trouble pulling out handfuls of goldfish crackers and cheerios. My youngest was born with a limb difference, he is missing his left hand. But, he tucks this under this left elbow (nothing spills), and can reach in easily with his right hand and pull out his snack. So, it really is super easy to get things out of.None of my kids never really got the hand of the snack keepers with the plastic triangles. They didn't like the feeling of the triangles scraping their hands, couldn't get much out of them, and those cups still spilled when thrown across the floor. So, this has been a big upgrade. As for the cons, because the top is fabric, I am worried about durability. These are top dishwasher safe, but so far I've only hand washed. You can't really put "wet snacks" in these, like cut grapes or apple slices. Because, the fabric at the top gets a bit soaked, sticky and gross. And, that sticky/wet is not something I want in my diaper bag or purse.I'll update my review as we go if durability ends up being a long-term issue. For a $17 cup, you really want it to last. $17 is a lot for a snack cup, though I imagine that is because this is a small company. And, if you've got a long car trip coming up and don't want to be fishing crackers out from all the cracks in your seats - this is the solution for you.

This is way too big for a first snack cup
Edit: 4/10/14 - the kiddo is now 14 months old. We use this around the house. I raised my rating by a star because it is more size appropriate now, though still quite large. The fabric opening is easier for him to use than the plastic of the typical snack traps, though it is more challenging to clean because it is fabric. I wash it with dish soap by hand. All in all, it's ok. I don't recommend it for under a year, and still, it's probably better for 18 months +.***I love buying baby items made in the USA. When it was time to get the kiddo a snack cup, I immediately ordered this one. Unfortunately, despite the age suggestion, I found this to be way too big for a first cup. I will be saving this for when he is older and will come back to re-review at that time.In the meantime, I am using the Munchkin snack trap.

The BEST snack cup/catcher
Let me start by saying that this is absolutely the VERY BEST snack catcher out there. I just stumbled upon this cup when I was looking for reviews on snack cups on Amazon. I bought it in August 2011, when my son was just over a year old. He is nearly 4 now and we are still using the same snack cup. It still looks brand new and has been a breeze to clean. Every once in a while I rinse out and stick it in the top rack of the dishwasher.Unlike some other snack cups, it does not have plastic flaps which warp with use over a period of time and render the cup useless after a few washes. It has stretchy fabric which has remained intact despite the few hundred washes that this cup has gotten over the years. I like the size of the cup as well. It is generously sized, which means fewer refills of snacks. This was an important factor for me. I wanted something that can be used without constant refills during a picnic or long drive. Unfortunately, the downside of the generous sizing is that it does not fit in standard cup holders and does take up a bit of space in the diaper/picnic bag. I have personally never had an issue with this - I know that it is big and make space for it accordingly. For the car, I have Britax car seats and this snack cup fits great in the Britax cup holders. My son loves this snack cup. It was and is very easy for him to use. Fabric flaps mean no scratches on tiny fingers and hands. When he was younger, we would take it everywhere with us. Now that he is older, we use it only in the car to keep the snacks from going all over the place while I am driving! It even comes with an airtight lid, which can be used instead of the stretchy lid. This is great for when the cup has a snack in it, but is not being used by the kid, as it helps to keep the snacks from getting stale.I have received several compliments from folks on this cup and recommend it to all my mom friends. I will be buying another one of these for my daughter when she is old enough :) Yes, it is a bit expensive compared to other snack cups. But, in my opinion, the price is well worth it for the years of use you get out of it.

works great. the part the baby puts his hand through is fabric. Which makes it very soft and no scratches. Washes and drys nice.

Love it!
Yes, they are pretty expensive but worth every cent! My son has been using this snack cup for about 8 months and it's been GREAT so far. Cleans very well and is very sturdy. My girlfriends have teased me about the size of the cup (it's kinda big) but it has the sweet handle for my son to hold onto and it's very lightweight. GREAT purchase. Highly recommend.

This is THE snack cup to have!
Bought this for my 15mo old son before a long flight so that he could snack as he wanted on the plane. So glad I got this! He flipped it upside down and tossed it several times and there was no mess! Now that we are home he carries it around the house with him wherever he goes. It's big enough to accommodate lots of snack types. I'm sure we will use this for years to come.
