It is still sharp, has that satisfying "click" that I love when cutting my nails, and has a nice solid weight to it. This is my gold standard for all nail clippers, and nothing has matched up to it yet. Unfortunately, I don't know what brand it is and have been unable to ever find it again.In any case, I purchased the Grooming District nail clipper set so I could have another quality clipper to use to keep in my travel bag since I travel quite frequently. I was generally pleased with the quality and results of this set. They have a solid weight to them, and a quality feel. It feels nice to hold in the hand, and unlike some other reviews complaining about the handles being too short to get enough leverage to cut their nails, I can say with confidence that I have not had that issue at all. After all...they are just nails...not plasterboard. I have used these for just about a month now (I usually cut my nails once to twice a week) and have been pretty satisfied. The clippers are sharp and are able to cut my nails easily–no snagging, no pulling, and no unnecessarily rough edges after being cut.Conclusion:Excellent clippers that are sturdy, sharp, cut cleanly, have a solid weight, and give a satisfying "click" when cutting.

I just received these clippers and find them to be well-crafted and of high quality. My decision to go with this set was based on others reviews, as well as the seller's description and photos -- all very accurate, except I wasn't expecting the nail file that's built into the underside of the clipper's lever. It's the type of file that's most effective for dressing the ends of your nails, but sadly, it is a very small abrasive "patch" that's recessed into the lever's surface (like a picture in a frame) making it more gratuitous than practical. It's better than no file at all, but come on Grooming, you want to do better. And when you do, you will proudly feature a photo of it. (Curiously, the listing doesn't include a photo of the file.)Also included in the set are an emery board and an "Extremely Elegant Black Case". IMHO, neither of these items are befitting the quality of the clippers that they are intended to complement. My suggestion: scrap these two items and instead provide a nail file that longer and spans the full width of the clipper's lever.The clippers themselves are 5-star and a good value compared to clippers of obviously similar design that are 3x the $$.

I bought three highly rated brands of fingernail clippers from Amazon. The other two brands were less bulky, very sharp, and very efficient at clipping my fingernails. I got an email from the owner of Grooming District asking my opinion of his clippers. I wrote back and told him that his clippers were not any better than the other Chinese clippers I can buy at the local drug stores. Instead of cutting my nails cleanly and easily like the other clippers I got from Amazon, they required lots of force to break through the nails and send the loose pieces flying around. No wonder they are so heavy and bulky; they have to be in order to hold up to the forces needed to get though even normal fingernails. I don't recommend these clippers and plan to give this set away to someone who has nothing to clip nails. I don't fault the owner. He seems like a guy who really wants to sell a good product, although I got no response from him after he asked for my comments about his clippers and I gave them.The good news is that by ordering three brands of clippers to compare against one another, I found the other two brands to be excellent. I'll review the other brands too, so check my reviews for more information. (Hint: Mehaz 660 and MoMa Muji)

This is a nice basic nail clippers set. They are sturdy and sharp and seem to be made to last. The set comes in a box suitable for gift-giving. The leather-look case is fine except that it is not very easy to get the flap to fit over everything and reach the snap to close it. The file is thick so it's easy to hold onto, with one side having a course grain and the other a medium-fine grain. In case you're wondering, the toenail clippers are the curved cut style. The package arrived in good condition very quickly after I ordered. I received this item at a discount rate in exchange for my honest review.

Good quality, but the missing nail file does bug me a while. Also, can nail clippers be too sharp? Yup...these little guys are sharp, so be very careful with kids and elderly...or someone who has poor eyesight...you might snip off more than you'd like off your toes. They feel really sturdy...but I actually find them kinda heavy in my hand. But honestly, it's hard to find anything like this so well made.

I found this manicure set to be the ideal solution for my nail-grooming needs. Polished to a deceptively soft sheen, this stainless steel set has a classy look; rare in male-grooming instruments. The cutting is superb and it's easy to grip from several angles. I do wish the two-sided emery board was a little less gritty. It does a fine job but polishes the nails to a matte finish. All three items come in an attractive black leatherette case. Yes, I'm an ad-writer (not for these people) but I really love this set. It's the best I've ever seen and it should last for many years.
