X-Power 6V Cordless Screwdriver, Battery Operated Electric Screw Driver with Bidirectional Switch and 14 Driver Bits Set for Household Maintenance(4 x 1.5V AA Batteries Not included)

Didn’t expect much due to the price, but was very attracted to its use of AA batteries. I Hate reaching for a small tool that uses some special battery pack and charger, and have it crap out in a couple of years because all makers use cheap rechargeable batteries. Get yourself some nice high capacity AA’s for this driver and you’ll be surprised. Note this unit’s four AA’s make 6 volts. Most other rechargeable drivers are 4v. Voltage is power. I had a bit of trouble getting the batteries to fit (hi cap rechargeables are a bit fat), and the battery pack connection was a bit dodgy, but it worked after moving the pack in/out slightly. Build quality is pretty good, it’s only about 6” long and plenty powerful. Very handy. Don’t bother using regular AA’s, they won’t last. These tools need powerful batteries.Update: Been using this for a few months, from auto work to building projects. GREAT tool. Lots of power with rechargables, takes some punishment, hasn’t broken yet. Super handy. Bit of trouble getting contact with slide in battery pack. Just fuss with it, it’ll connect.

When I attempted to install the batteries they didn't seem to fit properly. It was almost like the battery compartment was too small. After finally forcing them in I had to force the assembly into the main housing. Then it wouldn't work. Examining the battery compartment it appeared that there was a ridge of plastic that was keeping one of the batteries from making contact. Looking at other reviews after I had my battle with it, I found that I wasn't the first to have these problems. Even though it is cheap it isn't worth the trouble.

The price was low and it works fine.

I was looking for a replacement for a black and decker battery (4-AAs) screw driver. Although the X-Power is not bad, it doesn't have a lot of torque. It also doesn't feel real sturdy. On the plus side, it is easy to use and comes with a large number of attachments. Also, very inexpensive compared to other options. I think it is very good for occasional around-the-home use (which is my requirement). I would get something better if I needed to use it more.

Excellent tool. You can take it to everywhere. Fast and perfect to work with small pieces. I like it!!!

Useless for most tasks. It doesn't generate enough torque and runs through batteries insanely fast. Returned it

When it arrived it looked like it had been returned. The package was taped shut. It didn’t work. The battery contacts were coming apart. Very poorly and cheaply made. Should have returned it but I threw it right in the trash.
