No splinters!
They're orange sticks -- there's really not a lot of things to say about them. I use these to clean up my manicures as well as to push back my cuticles. They aren't splintery. They come in a nice organized pouch, so you can reach in, grab one, whatever, it's fine. It's not a big messy bag of orange sticks. None of them look split. I haven't had an issue with them splintering. The price isn't "great" but it's not awful -- I didn't get a huge pack, and I would've saved money if I did. But, if, like me, you're just someone at home doing their nails, these are a great tool, and a lot easier to use to clean up manicures than a cotton swab.

Orange sticks
I am very happy with these sticks. They work exactly like orange sticks are supposed to work. Some of the negative reviews seem to be written by people who are either unfamiliar with orange sticks or who are writing bogus reviews. As advertised, these are 110 mm (approx 4.3 inches). That is longer than the typical 3” size you get from China but shorter than the typical 6” you get in the US. They are a bit larger diameter than the ones I purchased locally from Sally’s. Overall, I like and prefer this size. Orange sticks are more gentle than a metal tool. They are a one-use disposable product, not intended for reuse. I appreciate the large pack so that I don’t have to conserve. BTW these came quickly—I didn’t have to wait for a slow boat delivery.

Working well for me
Nothing special, but working very well for me. The wood is decently strong so it keeps the tip/slant edge for some time. No splinters or flaws I've seen as yet.Don't forget to use the Smile.Amazon.com address - It's an Amazon program where many things you buy every day will generate a small donation from Amazon to the charity of your choice. Good Quality - Small Change Desired
I like these & they serve the purpose, but the Orange Sticks I've had before were pointed on one side & chiseled on the other. That's my fault for not inspecting the photo closer, but they'd be 5 stars if both sides weren't pointed.

Answer To A Good Home Manicure
These are basic and old fashioned, but they are the best way to clear your nail of cuticle. Unfortunately, we are living in a time of doing your own nails whether you want to or not. These orange sticks are just the answer. They are soft, but clear and push back the cuticle. One hint, try to keep the stick perpendicular to the nail, pushing down as much as pushing back.

Four Stars
I don't find these "tough" enough to use for removing or pushing back my cuticles but I do like having these around for when I use peel off base coat on my nails. These work well for removing the peelies. I also use them for applying glue to my nails when needed, as well as some clean up since the pointy end is smaller than any clean up brush I use. Basically I just use these for a bunch of small things, but they work well enough to want to keep them stocked and I would recommend.

Weak wood quality.
The slanted edge on the end of the stick looses its definition after one use on each of my fingers and won't catch on my cuticle the next time I go to do my nails. I have to use another stick or else I can't get the cuticle to slide back at all. If I go in assuming I'll only get one use out of each of these, they're ok. These are VERY disposable. Don't buy a small pack thinking it'll last you more than a year, it won't.

Awesome
I actually bought these to help apply my color street nails and they work great! It's crazy how many you get for such a low price!
