Art Graf Water Soluble Tailors Chalk Shaped Watercolor Paint Set, 6 Highly Pigmented Earth Tone Colors, Pigment Cakes for Painting & Drawing

I really like the shape of these! Not as messy as regular charcoal and I love the colors!

I saw an artist use these on Youtube and had to have them. They are very easy to use. The color is great. They mix easily. Also easy to travel with them. This is definitely something I will purchase again.

note: it’s hard to photograph the colors to look quite as pretty as they look in personI got these for a specific project but find myself using them for a lot. I LOVE them! the Sanguine is absolutely amazing. the photo is a quick study in how versatile the sanguine and ochre mixtures are. i paint an absurd amount of monkeys and these two colors cover all the possible skin tones from orange to a lovely, soft rose.all the colors are gorgeous, those are just my favorites 🥰

i used these for some mixed media artwork - just playing aroundit will come off on fingers, so i held it with a paper toweli worked on watercolor paper - some with wet paper and then using the chalk, and some dipping the edge in water and then using it on the paperit is so thick and yummy looking. it spreads so nicely adding a little more water with a paintbrush to move the color around or adding some other watercolors over/around. just fantastic.

I came across these ART GRAF "tailors chalks" by accident and found them to be amazing.First of all they are NOT chalk. They are TAILORS CHALK SHAPE. They come in a great cork seat and you can take the "chalks" out and draw directly then add water if you want. MY EXAMPLE uses the BLACK color only here as a test. THE BLOCKS ARE HIGHLY PIGMENTED. I used a water brush and treated the block in a traditional watercolor manner dipping my damp brush on to the cake. I AM THRILLED with the result! These are not inexpensive but ARE worth every penny! They come in three types of set: the 6 earth tones, the red-blue-yellow set, the Black-white-graphiteset. I GOT THEM ALL NOW! HIGHLY RECOMMEND FOR VERSATILITY AND COLOR FASTNESS.I just purchased "again" to give some as gifts to some ARTIST FRIENDS.

I really like this color set. The colors are rich and intense and a little goes a long way. It's becoming my choice of art supply to take when I'm on the go along with my water pen. I like the cork case that it came with but my only suggestion would be that the cover be of a better quality because the cake have a tendency to move and fall out because the plastic cover is flimsy. I get what they wanted to do but it doesn't really protect the cakes. It's pricey but I feel for what I do it's worth it. Quick fast sketches and it has enough of a color range to satisfy me.

I think these colors are just fantastic for my watercolor paintings of barns and of European towns. The color is bright and can be mixed with other ArtGraf colors. I can use it on my paintings as undiluted or diluted and it looks perfect. I think this brand is my favorite for achieving pure color on watercolor paper.

These are lovely and smooth and produce a very intense color. I've only used it for highlights and darkening lines. I'm sure if I could use it on it's own
