I feel sorry for those who received damaged/dented products, so I feel lucky that my unit arrived undamaged and in perfect condition. Having said that, I see how a flimsy layer of cardboard sheet attached to the base pallet may not provide much protection during shipping. Perhaps Generac should consider investing another $25 for a fully framed out protection.Speaking of delivery, my generator arrived 90 minutes later of the delivery window's upper limit. Since it was a Saturday, there was no-one available to talk to. Phone calls went to voicemail or calling the corporate number message was "mailbox full". Keep that in mind when you schedule delivery outside of normail business hours M-F.Prepare to buy a battery (about $60) and if you live in cold climate, a cold weather kit(around $200) to keep your battery and oild filter warm during winter. None of these are included.Currently working on hooking up the unit. Already ran the gas line and the wires to the Automatic Transfer Switch (ATF).I am giving a 5 star review in anticipation of everything working out as expected. Should something not, I will come back and update my review.30 day update: We had a 1 hr unexpecred power outage. The generator kicked off and ran just fine. Automatically turned off once the power came back on. Very happy customer.60 day update: Additional 2 power outages, each lasting about 8 hours. Generator worked flawlessly. Fired up in 10 seconds after the outage, ran smoothly providing electricity to the entire house and turned off automatically after utility power came back on.VERY HAPPY - money well spent.

Seems like a great product. The electric has not went of for it to be properly tested.

I have owned a number of whole house Generators both diesel and propane that were reliable. If you want Reliability this is NOT IT. WHY? It has an onboard COMPUTER! It will NOT Run without the Computer. It WILL NOT START UNLESS IT IS ON Wi-Fi. Think EMP or Power Surge, either will knock out the fragile COMPUTER. Oh, they do sell a surge protector, but it won't protect the COMPUTER from lightning. Generac advertises you can monitor it from your phone. TRUE if you pay $70.00 a year for the app. The app wants to sell you filters and parts. If you want a generator for your mountain cabin or hunting camp you MUST have Wi-Fi to start it. If you want something reliable this is NOT it. This Generator with a COMPUTER was designed as a 7th grade science project that did not get honorable mention. Generac has lost its way.

Great generator for the home

The generator is fine. The delivery company SUCKED!!! It took 10 days to get it delivered after it was in town. I never could talk to anyone just an AI live chat! You need to fix that for large items.

5 stars for the generac, no stars for the late delivery and communication. Over 2 weeks late

Was surprised at how quiet it runs. It is also able to run our central A/C, water heater and stove all at the same time along with most of the house. I highly recommend using a certified Generac installer to do the installation. They handled getting all of the permits & inspections needed for the installation. The Generac app was also helpful in allowing to monitor the status and to schedule weekly exercises for the generator to keep it in top running condition year round.
