great for dry hair
I heard of this shampoo brand from a sample I got while shopping. I used the sample and really loved the way my hair felt, very soft and smooth. I had to ask my friend if she was using her sample but instead she gave it to me! The sample focuses on shine but the one I bought focuses on volume and soothes sensitive scalp. Before this I was using Aveeno baby shampoo or argan oil based shampoo but my hair did not feel as soft and smooth as what Diane shampoo gave me. My hair was difficult to comb through and my hair would constantly break. I only tried my new Diane shampoo once and already felt the difference! My hair breakage when combing had lessen a lot more than usual, my hair has become easy to manage and comb as well, I typically have dry, thin and long hair.

It was okay!
So at first I liked this! But after a month my head got really itchy so maybe I am allergic to something in this. My sister loved this for months and then all of a sudden one day it was started to make her hair greasy annd heavy and she didn’t change anything else. I’d say try it because everyone is different. Maybe just use a clarifying shampoo once a month with this if you end up getting build up. Smells good though!

Strong scent and a bit watery but works like shampoo should
This smells like a hair salon, which isn't a bad thing, it's just the closest scent I could attribute it to. This works like any shampoo; lather, rinse, move on with life. I'm not sure it's worth $16, but if you find it on sale, then buy it. I like that it has natural ingredients, but I'm wondering why there is a paper label over the print on the bottle. It's as if it was repackaged or something, so it makes me a little suspicious. Besides, paper labels aren't going to last in the shower, which is where I assume one would use this. It doesn't do anything horrible to my hair but I also don't see anything new or wonderful about my hair after using it. Maybe I need to use it longer? Bottom line is it works like shampoo should, doesn't smell bad but is strongly scented, cleans my hair without issue, and is a little watery and overpriced IMO. I'll use the rest of the bottle and see if anything changes over time.

This smells great, helps with dandruff and volumizes hair
This shampoo was my old shampoo, but let it go due to moving. But this is such a great smell and leaves your hair feeling and looking amazing!

Great smell and good moisture.
I have thick, color treated hairs and hard water, so I’m picky about shampoo and conditioner. I ended up really liking this one. The smell is really nice and sticks around on my hair for hours. It has a ton of really great moisturizing ingredients and made my hair feel soft and smooth. It does build up on my hair a bit, which I mostly blame on the hard water. I alternate it with my chelating shampoo and it’s great. It’s a bit heavy, in spite of being on the thinner side for shampoo, so it may not be for those with fine hair.

Great lathering shampoo for lustrous hair!
I didn't know what to expect from this Diane Be True Shampoo, Basil & Avocado made in Japan. First, odd name for a brand, but hey, that's no reflection on the quality of the product. I am quite pleased with this shampoo. Strengths: 1 Lathers quite well. You don't have to use much. 2 Pleasant smell. I know it states it is basil/avocado, but I sure don't smell basil. The fragrance smelled quite familiar and it finally dawned on me. It is the cherry blossom fragrance that you often smell in lotions and candles. 3 Gets hair quite clean. 4 I have limp, fine hair and with many shampoos, the shampoo will make my hair even limper. This shampoo gave my hair a nice sheen with no limpness. Drawbacks: 1 At the time of order in February 2025, the price was about $17.00 for a 13.5 ounce bottle. This is higher in cost than many other shampoos.

If your hair soaks up oils this might be fantastic for you
First off, this lathers really well. It has a strong basil scent that is really nice. I love basil. I have very fine long hair. This shampoo contains three or four different oils. Oils that are fantastic for your hair. The reason I dropped the rating, it's a lot of oil. I couldn't wash it out without having to rewash my face and body. I was slicked down. Now I could just change my shower routine and start off with this shampoo, and if you have thicker hair that soaks up all the fantastic oils you probably won't have the same issues that I do. The oil weighs down my hair, so my very fine hair is greasy right after washing it. Everything else about this shampoo is great. I like the ingredients, I like the bottle and the pump. Like I said before it lathers really well so you don't have to use very much product. And I love the scent of Basil. Different hair types might work differently with this.
