Useful
Having Raynaud’s I know what pale white, ice cold fingers are. I find this warmer not a cure all but more like another tool in my fight to keep warm hands. It has its niches like when you are traveling on an airplane, or sitting in a meeting. When hiking I like to hold it in my gloved hand, at this time I wish I had two. But it does not take the place of a heating pad, or my favorite which is a microwaved cloth bag of dry rice. I guess to be fair I can say it works in situations where ease of use or portability are key.The only negative point I have is the implied charge/discharge life span. And that the unit is to be replaced when it will no longer charge-up. I do not support a disposable lifestyle and try to repair when I can. This unit just has two 18650 batteries inside, which are widely available. The battery replacement will require soldering, so if this is over your head, better replace.

Disappointing Quality.
Disappointing Quality.I rely on reviews to make my purchases. I don't know where all these positive reviews are coming from. But now that I look at them there seems to be a pattern that is consistent with my experience- this doesn't last anywhere near ~6.5 hr at all. I think it would be better if they stop over promising. Here's my experience. 1st time I used it after charging to full capacity. It seems like each day that passed, even with lightly usage I lost 1 out of the 3 energy indicator. The total usage I got was about 2.5 hours. The 2nd time I used it after fully charging: Total usage about 1 hour then it went completely dead. The saddest part is that their CS emailed me back saying that there are certain factors that would make it perform less than the normal amount of time. But I feel there is some serious quality control issue going on as many also have reported the same.Although I appreciate that it heats up fast and that it's got a nice shape, I think I will try a different brand.

Heats up fast and stays hot even in the cold
Bought this based off of the wirecutter review of their enduro model. Was a little put off by the warm up time that model had so I figured I would try this one, glad I did. It heats up to 132 degrees F in 10 minutes at room temp (68 at the time of testing). I let it sit out on the table and on High it made the full 4 hour run time they claim (which might be less with a load on it). When I take it outside to cold weather ~20 F it takes about 5 minutes to get back to peak heat which is not bad at all. I would say its hotter than the Hot Hands disposable packs when they are outside in cold weather. The specs claim it uses 18650 batteries on the inside so if you're a little crafty I don't see why you couldn't take it apart and replace the batteries if they go bad, I will myself as I have 18650 batteries laying around from some projects.I will update this review if something comes up or if I run into having to replace the batteries, would probably be the next season as I know ill forget about this thing in the summer and the batteries will sit for the summer season.Bullet points:-10/10 would recommend to a friend.-Easy to hold, very ergonomic, not too bulky-Heats up fast and can get hot in cold weather-Potential to replace batteries based on the specs (see edit)Edit 2/23/19I accidentally washed it in a washing machine as I left it in my pocket, and it went through the dryer and it still works! I took it apart to let it air out and in doing so I was able to find out that it does have 2 18650 batteries in it. Though not hot swappable user friendly design (obvisouly it's not made for that) with some soldering knowledge they are totally replaceable if you have some 18650 batteries around and don't want to buy a new one.Still 10 out of 10 been using it out in the field and it helps to keep my raynauds from kicking in and it stays nice and hot even in cold weather.

kinda worked - for a while
I bought this just over a year ago to help prevent my hands from freezing while shooting photos outside in cold weather. The first thing I noticed on my unit was that when charging the unit, there was no flashing blue light to indicate that charging is actually happening (as the manual said it would). Also, the instructions said there would be a red flashing light when it is outputting heat. I never saw the flashing lights, but I did manage to get some heat out of it so I just went with it as it was.I used it a few times last winter and it was very helpful; my hands kept warm nicely with this in my pocket. I used it last month (November) and it worked fine (minus the lights as noted above). Today I went out to shoot pictures and charged the device for several hours beforehand. I was not able to get any heat from the device. I have it charging again tonight, but when I try to get the heat to work, there's nothing. There must be some charge in it because when I tried to charge my phone with this device, I was able to charge the phone with it. Yet I cannot get any heat from it. I'm disappointed that it is no longer working after using it only about a dozen times at most. If the lights worked as advertised, then I might have an idea what is going on, but it's all guesswork without the lights working properly and I guess the unit is kaput.

Disappointing
My hand warmer just hasn't worked right. It seemed to charge just fine, but it discharged very quickly (1/2 hour, maybe). I received some tech support from the company, asking me to be patient and just recharge it fully several times. Tried this. Same result. I also find the design to be disappointing. The on/off button is quite sensitive, and when my wife put the unit in her glove, or in her pocket, she may have inadvertently hit the button and the unit turned off. I have requested a replacement unit, but a month later it has not arrived. If I get a working unit, i'll review it again.
