Family fav- not too spicy
This seasoning is excellent and I often only need half a packet as I only cook 4 breasts at a time. Typically, Indian food Has a stronger flavor than I prefer (I don’t like strong ginger flavor) but the spice combination is very balanced and even my picky eaters love it!

Delicious and high quality
Arora is the best Indian spice blend I've come across -- and I've pretty much tried them all.I've used several different blends from this company and they are all excellent. I usually start off following the easy recipes on the back of the packet and over time make a few adjustments (I like garlic so usually double the recommended amount). My co-workers (including a couple born and raised in India) think I'm a great cook when they sample one of my lunches, but it's really quite simple and ends up being healthier and cheaper than bringing a sandwich every day. If I can make food taste this good, anyone can!I also really like the fact that the spices are all organic.I go through so much of this (and Amazon's price is so much better than my local store) that I now have an auto-subscription for regular deliveries.

Makes a sublime sauce for vegetables too!
We love this just made as recipe indicates —-but with a tweak! As we have access to plenty of fresh lemons we use these instead of vinegar! We bake the chicken in the sauce in the oven and towards the end of baking I stir in a bit of a thickener ( tapioca flour ) so we can enjoy it a little less au jus and more a light gravy ! (Not too thick though!). Heavenly flavor! We spoon it all over the rice and veggie sauté we made to go with the Chicken!!

Great flavor, easy to use
The first packet I followed the directions. Same as previous reviewer. The results were good but not like the restaurant. Found out I didn't cook it hot enough. next time I reduced the vinegar and only soaked for a half hour and cooked on high over the bbq. Turned out much better. It isn't red like the restaurants because this does not have food coloring. The flavor was better. An even easier method is to use it as a rub for beer can style chicken. Skin is super crispy and the flavor is excellent.

expensive
I have been using this product food a long time. It is not very spicy and the food prepared with it tastes good.

not a bad purchase, but pricey for so much cumin
I bought these with the idea of seeing the variety of spices and then making my own spice mixes. It's pretty easy and a lot less expensive. But I found the ratio of cumin in these to be very high, for almost all packets. That's a very inexpensive spice even when organic, and it was - to me - a bit overwhelming in some. So I found out the actual blend of the spices was not something I would like to emulate. So I bought a cook book so I could instead make my own blends based on more diverse recipes. Like another reviewer, I didn't enjoy the tikki masala, but that's probably a matter of taste and what you are used to from your favorite Indian restaurants. I wasn't like any of the many, very yummy tikki masalas I have had. I also didn't care for this vendor's published negative comment to a reviewer who said a recipe on one of these spice packages called for too much ginger. If that is what the reviewer felt, that was a valid comment, and that buyer didn't deserve to get slapped down by a seller. I was grateful for this person's comment, and have made adjustments to what others recommended.

Yum
Use light cream or coconut milk instead of water and it will come out creamy and very delicious. I usually double the liquid and cook it on low heat for awhile, then after it boils down, I put in the meat. Remember to dissolve the packet in liquid thoroughly first. Additionally, stir it every once in awhile, if you double the liquid, while it is reducing. If you are unsure of doubling the liquid, then instead of using one cup of water, use one and a half cups of light cream or coconut milk instead. Trust me, it will taste much better than using the water.
