Linda Ronstadt: The Sound of My Voice [Blu-ray]

I have loved Linda Ronstadt for decades. It was great to hear her songs again. - makes me happy just to think about it.

This documentary is very much an inside view of Linda’s life and personality. It is very intimate and personal. I have always loved Linda’s voice and music, but this documentary caused me to love her as a human being as well! If you are a Linda Ronstadt fan, you NEED to own this!!!

This was so good. I learned so much about her as well as a plethora of music history.

This was an excellent dvd. Not only lots of music and great singing, but they tell the story of Linda from her childhood all the way thru her adult years and into her struggles with parkinsons. Her opera singing in The Pirates of Pensance is very very impressive to say the least.

While I liked Linda Ronstadts music growing up, I had no idea of her roots, background and how she got to be where she got to be. I gained a great amount of respect for this woman because of the documentary. The interviews, music and film quality are very good.

Have always loved Linda Ronstadt from the time I first heard Different Drum. During the 70’s I saw her a number of times in different cities where I happened to be (USN). It was hard not to have a crush on Linda, she was the real deal. Such an integral part of the Southern Cal sound at the time (Eagles, Jackson Browne, JD Souther ...). DVD is a mostly comprehensive snapshot of her career, only disappointment is the quality of many of the photos and video, but hey it’s what is available from those days. Had good fortune of seeing her retrospective speaking tour a couple years back, she had some good stories to tell and took questions. Her body may be failing her, but her spirit was undiminished.

This is an interesting, entertaining and informative documentaries on one of our best American singers. I was surprised at what I learned about Linda Ronstadt. She's much more talented than I knew.

This is a film from CNN. The story is so good. Highly recommended.
