I Can Finally Practice Drums In The House Without Disturbing Others
New, out of the box, these pads smell like new tires. And the smell is strong. But, within a few days, the scent has faded to the point where it is barely noticeable. The practice pads fit with my Gretsch Catalina Club 4-piece kit and Sabian AAX cymbals (hi-hats, ride and crash) just fine. Gives enough sound-dampening so as not to disturb others in the house when I'm practicing. The pads don't interfere with the normal feel of the kick drum or the sticks, and I get a realistic rebound on both. Installation of the pads only took a few minutes. Make sure you have a drum key to install the adjustable kick drum bracket.The only bad part is that I now have to come up with new excuses explaining why I'm not prepared for rehearsals.Quite happy with the quality and price of this practice pad kit.

Good but maybe questionable durability.
These work wonders at reducing the noise on your drums. My tip is when using the snare you should turn off the snare wires otherwise they will still ring with the dampeners on. After a few months the foam padding started coming off on the bass drum. I play double bass and I do hit fairly hard but still worth noting. Otherwise the rubber pads for the rest of the drums will see some wear and tear from being smacked but will still function like normal. I didn’t really have any issues with rebound.

Pads

Horrible chemical smell
They dampen noise well but have a horrible chemical smell. Other reviewers mentioned it but I didn't think it would be as bad as it was. It's disgusting and can be smelled just being in the room without playing. I returned them and am looking for another option.

Quiet Playing With A Slight Loss in Rebound
Absolutely love these. They virtually make the drum heads quiet as ever. Same with the ride and hi-hat. The crash cymbal mute still allows it to ring a little but it's a nice touch. I can practice now whenever I want!

Poor design/material
The cymbal sets completely kill the cymbals sounding anything like cymbals. Might as well place heavy towels over them and the drums. To radical really ruins any natural sounds
